I notice that the newer 'William" books have different covers. This is the one I remember. As a child growing up in Jamaica, we got books from Britain (Colonial era). William was just fun to read. Once I heard my mother laughing out loud. Turned out she was reading one of my William books. He is/was such a lovable rascal. I don't know if the new generation would like the series, it's uncomplicated, clean fun. I know that as a youngster, I enjoyed it. I am hoping to reread the series - just for fun.

Great story for ANYONE. Excellent grammar. I heard about it from Cosmo Pyke's song Great Dane. Listen to the audiobook by Kenneth Williams whist reading along, he has a very charismatic reading voice. The illustration is horrible though. Very pixelated. Definitely could have used a different picture instead.
