Excellent Upgrade to a Classic Game!
Wasn't sure how this would play out, but it is fantastic. The game play is very balanced, and it adds a whole new level of strategy to the game. Perfect for people who love the competitiveness of monopoly but want a new challenge.

It's an ok take on Monopoly. Either the socialists act quickly or the monopolist quickly runs away with the game. There is no earning potential for the socialists so they have to fully block the monopolist.

Terrible overall game
Terrible overall game. It's like you're playing monopoly but the no fun version. You play as a free market or monopolist. If you play as free market it's basically just saying "yes I'll play as the poor person who can't inevitably win the game." That's assuming you somehow get the game to end.

Game needs a lot of polishing to be good.
Reading about the game, I was pretty excited to play.Opening the box, I was really surprised with the finish of the game. After a 10 year legal battle to get the game out, I expected batter quality. Super generic plastic playing pieces, the font, line thickness, colors, and even layout of the board looks as though it was all thrown together at the last second. The cards (equivalent of chance) were again low quality and worse, not well thought out.The idea behind the changes sounds great but I was just disappointed that after working on this for over 10 years the creator didn't bother to polish the end product.

Not that great unless you love very long games monopoly.
I really liked the concept of this game. However, I think the mathematicians that developed the prices and costs in the game focused too much on balancing the monopolist vs. competitor dynamic- resulting in there being no end of game. In regular monopoly, rent prices would go up almost exponentially as you put more houses on a block, however in Anti-monopoly- prices would only go up in increments of about 10 or 20 most of the time- and buying houses were not cheap. Even with the last spaces on the board, with full houses (as a monopolist) rent was only about 200 dollars. In regular monopoly, landing on one of these with full houses would easily bankrupt a player. During our game, there simply was not enough incentives for some players to even invest in houses. I did not think the rules were too complicated for me and my college buddies, but it took a few rounds around the board to fully understand. The other drawback is that this game has a very basic look and cheap, generic plastic player pieces.I would only recommended this to people who love monopoly and don't mind playing very long games of it. I enjoyed it but most players got bored after 3 hours and could not seeing the game end any time soon.

Fun twist on Monopoly
Came sealed, a fun twist on the game of Monopoly, and although intimidating initially with the new rules, it's easy to learn.

This is a great economic game
This is a great economic game, but confusing for a normal player. This game relies heavily on free market and monopolies and the rules for each in the game are different depending on what the person chooses to play as. It's a bit strange and many of my friends don't want to play because of that. I love all monopolies, but this one was a bit odd. But if you're up for a challenge or you teach economics, this is a great game!
