A thoughtful, superbly written presentation of the challenges and joys of preaching. The author's love of words and the Word is evident throughout; the book itself offers a fine example of how language, experience, scripture, and the movement of the Spirit work together to inspire both those who deliver sermons and those who receive them.

Thoughtful, accessible, substantial with some emphasis on sustained images or metaphors that help carry the message. Also emphasizes connecting with people's experiences, or way of experiencing the Christian walk.

This is a well written and deeply spiritual book. I enjoyed reading it, and I will enjoy rereading parts of it.

I am a future episcopal minister and I love this book. I got it as a gift from a family member and I have fallen in love with it! It is a great book spiritually and I have learned a lot from it. I love her style of writing and she expresses herself through her book... I recomend this book to everyone.
