Excellent tool with caveats
These are very sharp scissors. They are well-made, with tight tolerances at the pivot joint and along the length of the blades, which are perfectly aligned. When I first used them, they did not open or close smoothly, but a drop of very thin oil around the pivot and a coating of wax along the blades made them feel like a precision instrument. They cut cleanly through thick materials. DO NOT use the long blades for metal (I didn't try) and they should last a long time. As with all scissors, don't twist the blades while cutting. If you are not getting the cut, back out and try again. The offset angle of the blade from the handles makes cutting a long piece easy, as the handles do not push into the cut when opening the blades as happens with straight scissors and shears. Note the rounded tips of the blades; this lets you carry the scissors safely in your pocket. The spring mechanism eliminates the hand fatigue caused by having to open the scissors manually. The handles are not the most comfortable, but they won't hurt your hand. Follow the directions on where to place your hand when grasping the handles. If you place your index finger above the top flare on the lower handle, you will pinch (most painfully) the skin at the base of the index finger. Otherwise, this is a scissors worth investing in. This is a very good quality lightweight tool that does an excellent heavyweight job. I would buy this again.

Works pretty good for cutting dog treats
I bought this solely to cut dog treats like bullysticks, dried cow cheeks, and the like. Overall, it works great--cuts through the cow cheeks easily. It has a harder time with the bullysticks though. Once you can get a start through the outer coating, it shears through the more brittle inside. The handle is sturdy and gives good grip points so I'm able to use one-handed. I haven't had a problem with the little hinge clip on the bottom to secure the blades.I think the only complaint would be how short the blades are. For all my dog's treats, I need to start on one side, then the other, and scissor into the middle. Not the product's fault, I knew this was going to be the case when I bought it. It's held up and sharp with no issues so far. Not sure how it'd do through metal but makes it easier to cut through dog treats. I'd buy again.I don't know enough kanji to be able to understand what I'm reading on the packaging.

Cuts carpet!
It’s great when it works! I was cutting the carpet but it kept getting stuck and it made my hands cramp after a while of use but maybe I just needed a banana because monkey never cramps. Monkeys eat banana and never cramps. Wish they were longer too but it did it’s job.

Only works on relatively thin carpet
I had a thick commercial grade pile carpet I needed to cut up. This tool was entirely inadequate to the job. The instructions warn not to grip the handles near the ends to get more leverage, suggesting that the metal tangs don't go very far into the handles and they will break is so used. They are nicely made, but not a serious tool for heavy duty work.

Well-made scissors with Japanese blades
If you need scissors for cutting thru tough material like kevlar, these are perfect. The blades are made in Japan and have micro-serrations, so they cut without slipping or marring the material being cut. I also like the fact the handle has openings large enough to use when wearing gloves. The last scissors I bought had smaller handles and they would bind up when I wear gloves. Thee work great! They were not the cheapest, but I prefer to spend a bit more and have scissors with good steel and ergonomic handles. I'd recommend these.

It had one job, MAJOR fail!
I purchased these to cut rugs and pad for a stair runner project. I got through 4 of the 8 pads and it stopped cutting. I noticed I had some fibers in between the blades and tried carefully to remove them. No luck, not unless I wanted to slice my hand open. These are dull, cheap and poorly designed. Get some good scissors from your fabric or home improvement store and call it a day! Don't waste your money on these. Return in progress

Alles, was mit einer „normale“ Schere nicht zu trennen ist: diese Schere schafft es. Super!

Consider this purchase carefully.
I was very disappointed by this purchase especially after reading such glowing reviews. The grip is very uncomfortable and I did not find carpet cutting possible. The edge of the carpet has to be at the inner edge of the blades, and required a lot of force. In the end I used a simple scalpel blade, which costs pene. Beware.

非常に良く切れる
カーペット用の製品ですが、カーペットの切断には使ってないです。主に厚紙の切断に使用しています。飲料の紙パックを捨てる際の切り開きや、段ボールの箱の解体に重宝しています。
