Works perfect. I have an older Craftsman saw and at ...
Saved me a lot of money! Works perfect.I have an older Craftsman saw and at some point in time, the motor output shaft has acquired a slight bend to it. The motor issue generated a lot of vibration through to the table. It wore out my arbor bearings, which had probably seen their life anyway, and would constantly drive the pulley off the arbor shaft no matter how tight I drove the set screw. I had just about given up and was debating between the $200+ for a new motor, or biting the bullet for a new saw.I thought I would give this a try and it has been perfect. It has reduced nearly all of the vibration transmitted to the table from the drive system and is helping with cleaner cuts. It is a little noisy compared to a standard belt, but since I always wear hearing protection that is simply not an issue. This was a great investment and I wish I would have done this a long time ago.

A must have for your belt driven machines.
Absolutely buy this! I have an older Delta contractor turned cabinet saw (my own mods) and it always shook when running at start up. I replaced and aging fiber belt with this and could not believe the difference it made. No more shakes, smoother running, quite, and better blade speed. Installation was pretty straight forward and after about a month of hard use I had to shorten it a bit as it stretched a bit. It has been running fine ever since. I ordered an extra to have on hand and when my new real cabinet saw comes in it will go on that as well.

Brilliant! Just be sure to install it the right direction!
There is a break in period where it will stretch and settle to its final length. I’ve used it half a dozen times so far, removed a few links, and may have to remove one more link. But it’s a very mild inconvenience in exchange for the quality of belt and how much quieter my table saw is now! Secondly, it’s UNI-DIRECTIONAL! The tail underneath should FOLLOW, not lead. If you install it backwards the tail can fold over, which will cause noise and ultimately damage the belt.Lastly, my grandpa talked me into getting a link-belt. When I asked him how long they last he said “Oh... about 30 years so far.” 😲Get this link-belt. Install it the right direction. Allow the stretch period. And it’ll be the last belt you’ll ever need or want.

Easy to shorten, quieter and fixed vibration issue.
I bought this to fix a vibration issue on my table saw. I have an older delta contractor saw. Old belt had formed to a memory oval and was causing major vibration, long story short, bought typical belt replacement, it helped a little. Was told this was a better way to go. 100% fact. For me it eliminated all vibration as well as made the saw quieter. I couldn't be more happy. You will need a pair of needle nose pliers to shorten belt if you need to go that route.Once I shortened the belt, and turned the saw on, it was one of those awesome feelings that it worked. All warm and fuzzy inside and that I didn't have to mess with that issue anymore.

Good product, but short count
I got the package quickly, and had no problems with it. It took about three minutes to figure out the instructions, and another three to put it together to fit my Enco band saw. It works well, with almost no vibration. I can't say anything about durability; I've only used a few hours. The V-belt was as advertised, except for the length. The description said four feet, but it was just barely three and a half. I intend to use this type of belt for my other machinery, but I'm gong to buy it somewhere I can measure it and make sure I get what I pay for.

WOW.
I bought two of these belts because of all the positive reviews. I got one for my antiquated wood lathe, and one for my elderly drill press. They both have always had a fair amount of vibration because, well, they're pretty old machines. I always figured the vibration was unavoidable.I just installed one of these peculiar belts on each machine, and what a difference! Now both machines run VERY SMOOTHLY. They have virtually no vibration, and they run so much quieter than before. I just ordered another belt for an ancient band saw I'm renovating. Maybe I'll get another one for my swamp cooler. Hmmm.It took me a little time to figure out how many links to use. I ended up using 2 or 3 more than I thought I'd need. It was a little tricky figuring out how to join the links; I ended up using a pair of needle-nose pliers to push and pull the last link through the belt. I also ended up tensioning them a little tighter than the old belts, since they seem to run better that way. I'll be interested to see how long they last, since they are a bit pricey.

Solved the Wobble Problem
My Jet 6 inch jointer developed the wobblies. I tore it down and the only explanation was a belt with a set in it. It was the original belt, about 20 years old. The linkbelt fit perfectly and eliminated the wobble. I'll buy these again when I need a new machine tool belt. Maybe for the bandsaw
