I am familiar with hair official testing as it is a part of my work environment in which my career path has lead me, I purchase this product after researching several other brands, I followed the simple instructions that were included in the package, it was very well explained in the included booklet, also this kit comes with a self address paid envelope so once you are done just drop it in the mail, wait about a week, check your results on line, this product is very good and trustworthy the price is a great value to get confirmed results.

I appreciated that the instructions were clear. While I thought just a single hair was needed, an amount equal to the diameter of a straw was required. This was collected from three different sites and the missing hair was easily hidden under longer strands of hair. A postage-paid envelope was included for submission of the sample. A specimen ID# and passcode were provided for registration of the test and for access to results. A 90-day history of any drug use will be detectable. The result should be available within one week. I am happy to have this option for anonymous drug testing.

The subject of this test had come home reeking of pot on the night we found a bag of something much worse in his laundry. He admitted the pot use, but insisted that the other drug was not his (as if that excuse had not been used before). We did a pee test that night which detected the pot, but not the other drug.So two days later we submitted his hair sample using the Hair Confirm product with the intention of getting a better picture of his drug use over the last several weeks.The results came back NEGATIVE on all tests. It didn't even pick up the pot which we already knew about.My wife and I feel that we threw away $50 on a product that promises help for desperate parents, but instead just adds insult to injury during a very stressful, horrible time for parents.

I've used these kits for my Private Investigation business to give parents peace of mind in contentious child custody disputes. I've found these tests to be simple, fast, and reliable. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who wants a definitive yes/no answer, without the expense of a full blown lab analysis.

Its hard to properly rate this product but I find it useful for my situaiton. I can only partially speak to accuracy in that some tests conducted at a hospital were essentially the same as I got from Hairconfirm. It IS easy to use but there are quite a few steps and it seems I'm always in a rush - dont rush. The newest format comes with an excellent folding card with clear instructions. I like this very much and haven't made mistakes. Its not cheap but these days, I don't see any competing product. I don't live where I can take a sample to a private lab. Using hair works - it would be impossible to collect a urine sample. At first I found the new system of buying the package cheap and then paying the lab fee at registration a pain but now I'm used to it and it works - and makes me follow all the needed steps. My one complaint right now is it takes forever to buy a new package. I can only order through Amazon and it has taken a month or more from order to recieving it - I don't understand the huge wait. I guess I need to order several at a time. I'm never sure when I'll need to take a sample.

The test could not be accurate. I know the person was on certain prescribed meds they take everyday. The test said there where none found. So not sure how they test but in my opinion it is not accurate

*******READ MY REVIEW*******Okay so here is the thing. I bought this prior to a pre-employment drug screen thinking legally smoking marijuana in Colorado 2 months prior would show up in my hair. I ordered this test, mailed it Friday and got my results by Tuesday. Everything came back negative. So I was happy!! So happy. And then I started reading other people’s reviews who were doing pre-employment drug tests and got scared. So I decided to go test it again but this time at a facility that send it to LabCorp or Quest because I know that’s where my pre-employment one will be tested. I was frantic. I thought for sure it was going to be positive. Came back NEGATIVE!!So I learned a couple things.. 1. Marijuana really doesn’t show up in your hair unless you are a super chronic smoker. 2. I guess this test worked but I have no idea what lab it went to so I’m sleptical on their processes. 3. You will have a much safer piece of mind going to a facility and making sure your hair goes to a major lab (costs $95 and I would not pay more than that if I were you) and boom! You’re good to go. It’s confidential and much safer to go get results yourself before showing up to an employer one and failing.Hope this helps!

Excellent product to get a fool proof analysis of any substance abuse. I do random drug tests on my recovering addicted daughter because I am raising her child. As long as the tests come back negative they are allowed unsupervised visits. This is a fast and accurate test. The addicts know how to fool the urine tests so this is a much better way to get an accurate test report.
