Speedo Adult Unisex BoomStar Ultra Pace Cap

The product was much smaller than I thought. I don’t have long and thick hair but I couldn’t fit it through entirely.And it slides off a little.I’m returning the product.

Initial impressions for this swim cap were quite good, it looks nice and is very well made. However the material is a silicone coated polyester/elastane fabric and surprisingly doesn’t have a lot of stretch around the edge and doesn’t provide a good fit.This cap is listed as one size, I found it quite tight on my (adult) head so I tried it on a 5yo child and it was too big and long therefore i think the age range for this product is probably more suited for around the age 8 to young teen. It does the job but to be honest the fitting and comfort of this product could be better.

I do prefer using the material swimming caps as they are so much easier to get on, but they don't keep your hair dry and I am sure that the water moves over these silicone caps much easier and so you can swim that little bit faster which might matter to some. My daughter is nine and has a biggish head and lots of thick hair, so swimming caps can be a nightmare for her, apart from the material ones, but this one is better than many that we have tried before. I think there is a little more stretch in this one, although it still fits tightly and it has kept that stretch over time.

WIth little info. on sizing to go on except that it's one size.This size doesn't yet fit my four year old daughter, I would say its likely to fit from age 6 or 7.That being said, it's very different to the tight latex, powder coated ones we used to use in our youth.It's made from a stretchy, waterproof neoprene type fabric which has been sewn to form the cap. The fabric doesn't have much give - meaning you still have to form an expanded cup shape with your hands on the underside of the cap to slip it over your head.Its comfortable, waterproof and well fitting.Just to wrap up (no pun intended), this cap is suitable from age 6/7 to adult.

It fits very snugly but it's really hard to get it on over even medium length hair. Still, once it's on, it stays in place and it looks pretty.
