It’s Legit!
I installed this myself in my system which includes a waterfall and booster pumps alongside the main. The previous pump consisted in a 1-1/2 HP Century one speed motor pump coupled to a Pentair WhisperFlo filter assembly, it worked well and was a genuine workhorse until it gave out. I wanted to replace the previous system pump with a Century Variable Speed Pump, but this could not be shipped to my address in CA, apparently It was not energy efficient enough to allow sale and distribution here. I was concerned because the timeline to get a new alternative would have been nearly a week, also I did not want to get a low-end pump for a few hundred box because I would have ended up having to replace it too often, not worth my time. Instead, I found this unit which is not exactly the cheapest nor the most expensive, but a solid high-middle-range option. Upon reading many reviews amongst which, very, very few negative ones, I decided to go with this unit because I read its customer service support is A+. I purchased an extended warranty to make sure, so hopefully I should be good for awhile. I will post an update a year from now.The physical installation was straight forward, but the programming instructions are a bit confusing, and took me nearly three days to figure out how to activate each mode and programming. I believe an easier set of instructions would do just as well, or maybe a YouTube video would be great. At any rate, it is easier than explained in the manual. The pump is pretty quiet and runs great, programming now works and once I fully learned how to set and adjust, take seconds to toggle through various time, speed, and duration for each of the Four available Cycle adjustments. One additional item I would comment on, is the filter assembly. The assembly is a regular, solidly made piece, the Pentair in comparison was slightly larger in comparison and looked to possess more of an industrial quality. I believe if this product had a more of an industrial-looking setup it could potentially sell for easily several hundred extra bucks.

Nice pump, but limitations for conduit attachment
Installed nicely except I could not fit a 90 degree liquid tight conduit fitting, the hole is threaded and the motor is in the way to screw it in, so straight fittings only. Also, the hole is too close to the inside back wall and you can’t get the star lock nut on the fitting threads.

Good customer service
I ordered this pump 9 months ago. Just started having issues with it shutting down randomly and trying to restart. Called customer service and they are sending out a new control panel. At least they stand behind their product. Customer service is just delightful to deal with, so pleasant! Steve R

The right stuff
This is exactly what I needed to upgrade my pool system. It was priced very competitive and had all the options that I wanted! The shipping was fast and fantastic. This is now one of my go to connections for pool parts.

Shuts off for no reason - Stays at 0 RPM until power is recycled
At first I loved this pump and the value for money was great. IT does run very quiet and when it runs, I have no issues with it. 3 months later for no apparent reason, it just either shuts down or does not turn on at scheduled time. I hit the start/stop and the RPM is set to 0 and it wont run. I cannot increase the RPM speed. The only resolve is to completely power down the pump, wait for power to drain off, then power up again. So far this has worked. Why have a pump with all the fancy programming when I need to keep watch on it daily to see if it is running.UPDATE: Customer support contacted me about this pump. They were very responsive. Sent all paperwork, RMA and a paid UPS label to send back. I was able to get a full refund for this. Once able to contact customer service, they were very responsive to the issues and concerns. Like I mentioned, if they resolve the controller issue, this is a real nic, quiet pump for the value.

Good customer service
Easy install. Very quiet. Began failing a few months after install. Will run and then trip off. Attempts to restart over and over again until it errors off. Customer service was responsive sent out a new control module, which was easy to install. Pump working fine ever since.

*Edited* Wanted it to work so bad but it Didn’t last :-(
11/29 Edit: Their customer service subsequently got in touch with me via phone and text, and in a matter of days I had a brand new unit. The new unit works incredibly well and I'm hoping that it lasts because I really love this pump. If it doesn't though, I know that their customer service will do whatever they can to make it right. Highly recommended! For the first couple months this pump was awesome. It was silent, the controls were great, I really enjoyed it. However after a couple of months things started to go wrong. First the display board went out and customer service was awesome and immediately sent me a new one after doing some light troubleshooting. Once again all was right in the world. However after another couple weeks, the pump started developing a leak on the underside and it started making a horrible a screaming noise, I think the bearing was going out on it. It was getting worse every day and yet all they kept asking me for war videos over and over again of the pump deteriorating.Eventually it started becoming such a nuisance of my neighbors called and asked me if I could do something to fix it so I disabled it. I’m still waiting on the replacement pump or maybe I will just go buy a different brand to keep my pool from turning into a green slime pit. I’m totally disappointed.

Great pump for the price!
Initially I was worried about buying this product because I knew I won't have time to install it for another 3-4 months but because of insurance paperwork I had to purchase it then. I installed it last week and it's really wonderful. I run it on lowest settings and it saves a lot of electricity while keep the water clean. If I need to use the vacuum, I dial it up so it has enough suction power to run the vacuum. Easy to program and wiring was easy too if you already have a 240V breaker. If you don't then you will need one!
