You can see my HP liscenced tie on left of the rest, which is a duller color and is a flatter material (the set of 4 ties have a more textured appearance and feel). That being said, I didn't realize they were skinny ties until after I bought them-- but they are not much smaller in width than the liscenced brand of ties (last pic) and look much nicer. Also, to those concerned about color accuracy mine came out perfect. Even the Hufflepuff which some complained was too navy, was clearly a shade of black (if not a tad shiny from the material itself) and looked great. Only complaint could stem from the Ravenclaw ties following movie colors (blue, silver) and not book colors (blue, bronze).

I knew they were magical but I didn't know I was a wizard. With the limited amount of notice from a Hogwarts letter these days, I was glad I'd already ordered these and they shipped quickly by my owl. I cannot wait to learn how to yeet another wizard's wand and plateau there.

These are good quality ties for the price--plenty good enough for a costume to be worn among people who won't be looking too closely. However, if you are looking for authenticity, pony up and get Cinereplicas (five times more expensive but entirely accurate). As other reviewers have said, they are 0.4 inch skinnier than the authentic replicas, and they are shiny. That part did not bother me--I was buying them for kids anyhow, so skinnier meant the right size. However, the Ravenclaw tie, shown as blue with white stripes in the photo, came as blue with silver stripes (silver like Slytherin). The birthday girl considers herself a Ravenclaw--so this is a real problem--but I don't have time to return them and get something else. Very disappointed.

I needed a Slytherin tie for a Harry Potter themed work party. After browsing all the options here on Amazon I settled on this 4 pack of ties. The price point was excellent and although I didn't need all four ties, they are good quality. I'm not a Harry Potter fanatic so can't speak to accuracy of colors and patterns, but my co-workers thought my Tom Riddle costume was spot on awesome. I gave the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor colored ties away as presents and kept the Ravenclaw tie because it looked so good on own!
