GE WE12M29 Dryer Drum Drive Belt

I ordered this belt when the belt I ordered from another supplier snapped on the very first load. This belt was superior in quality from the get go. I was pleased to have the belt naturally uncurl with the groove side to the inner side of the belt when removed from package. The belt that snapped kept flipping both before and during installation placing the grooved side on the outside. I liked that this new belt had a better reinforcing on the outside compared to the other replacement, and the original belt. I was replacing a belt on a GE dryer that was purchased almost 6 years ago. I couldn't help but notice that both replacement belts were wider than the original with one additional groove, and that this replacement belt was superior in quality to the belt that was installed at the factory. I hope to get many years of service from this belt as my days of being able to do repairs myself are dwindling about as fast as my ability to pay others to do it for me.I'm scoring low on "Easy to Install" only because GE makes it so damn difficult to replace the belt. An access panel on the left side of the dryer, next to the motor, would make reaching in to engage the belt on the drive wheel and tension arm so much easier.Both "Value for Money" and "Durability" is scored on a level of "so-far-so-good." You really can't put a grade on them as it is a matter of both time and use-over-time. The belt could snap a week from now, or it may never snap. As of now, I'd say an easy 5.

Dryer runs like new

This part worked perfectly to replace the broken belt in my dryer. I was able to find videos on how to get at the belt and replace it, saving an expensive service call or buying a new unit. This has nothing to do with the belt, but the video made replacement look easy because the side was taken off the machine giving you more room for your hands. For my model, you have to slither a hand between the motor and the side of the machine. It took me a couple of tries to get my hand in the right position so I had the strength to pull the pulley back and reattach the belt at the same time. I've got arthritis in my hand. But, I gotter done and the unit is working fine.

Had a dryer go down with a busted belt this week.Went everywhere trying to find one, nobody keeps them in stock.Found this one and even though the delivery window was longer than I would’ve liked, it was actually delivered in 48 hours.Got it on, got the dryer working.

The packaging was a little suspicious. It looks like it had been opened and then poorly resealed with folds/creases in the seal. So, not sure if this is an actual OEM GE belt.Also, just measured my belt and it's only 89 inches and not 89.5 inches. This may not make too much of a difference and it may stretch over time.I was also a little disappointed with how the belt was folded up. It was like it was tied in a knot. It looks like it might have a tendency to flip but I tried to flatten out the kinks.I'll update the review in a few days once I put my dryer back together and test everything.Edit: After a couple months of use, the belt is still going strong. I still have my suspicions about it being genuine but I updated the star level to 4. I'll update the review again if it breaks prematurely.

Very concerned with replacing a broken dryer belt and getting the right part. Seller's website is excellent. It made sure to verify the make and model and only then did it show me the correct replacement part. The part came today and it was installed as a perfect fit. This belt is actually better quality then the OEM part that broke on our 3 years old dryer. Would recommend the seller to anyone, price is not the cheapest but clearly it is the proper part and is a better quality than the original. The installation wasn't easy, but had nothing to do with the Seller. The tension bar and motor wheel on the left side of the dryer, has very little room as opposed to the right which was much more spacious. Poor design luckily I got the right part from the right seller!

This belt was about half of what they wanted at the appl. store. The quality is OEM and it got here fast. Worked great and I was glad to find it at a good price.

The belt came with an order slip from the seller with their direct customer service info as well. It arrived in perfect condition, andy husband installed it in no time.
