Pure Ice Nail Polish 828 First Love

It is nice and shiny but you have to apply it quite often. Also the nails seem to peel off after using it...

This is a translucent nail polish. It's not transparent and it isn't opaque. It's like a veil. You can see through it, but not clearly.In my picture it looks pink. I have a bottle right next to me. It's a very frosty cream--with a hint of pink.For several years I had French manicures. Within a day of having the French manicure I would put a layer of this First Love over it. I liked that you could still see the manicure, but this polish gave it a shiny pearly look which I really liked. I don't think my manicurist did particularly when I went back for a new manicure, but I think she preferred everyone to have red, black or blue nails.This polish wears well--far better than you would expect $2 polish from Walmart to wear.

Would give this 5 stars, but the other review is true: you need a lot of coats if you're only using this color. I don't particularly like it by itself, but I love it on top of a deeper pink. My favorite is to layer it on a good solid application of NYC Tudor City Teal. It's reminiscent of sea shells or fairy wings. Again, the other review's true- so don't forget a clear topcoat.
