One minor foible to an otherwise great book-stand
This is a great product. I personally have no problems with the construction or the materials in this product Really solid overall. The only downside I would mention is that one of the two rubber feet that provides some grip and anti-slip chracteristics on surfaces found on the black plastic base fell off within a few days of using the stand. This was easily remedied with some clay putty I had lying around. Otherwise, a good product. Would buy again

Unique design, beautiful, functional
Absolutely adore this! I am writing something from books and photocopies. The wood is nice enough that I don't mind keeping it sitting out in the living room. The stand is counter-intuitive, but ingenious. The papers/books are held in place by metal strips, bent so as to be a spring. The weak link is that they are held in place by screws. I have had to have my husband re-tighten one....it's loose again. It's a bug that bugs me, but overall, I LOVE this thing. It is like nothing else out there.

It's a nice product. It does take up a lot of space because the back support opens out and down not down and out. But it works nicely and is able to handle heavy books. Looks great, the wood has a nice finish.

After a couple months of light use, the paint on the page holders has already begun chipping off and one of the page holders seems to have lost some of its tension (though it still works fine).

It's a very nice book stand
It's a very nice book stand. Really sturdy and seems to work fine. my only problem is that the screws which holds the windshield like sticks to prevent pages from automatically flipping starts to become a little loose and may fall off.As a result, I would generally go for something much more expensive/quality in nature.

Not for reading..
Not of a bad quality but it wasn't what I was looking for. This book stand is useful if you are going to spend a long time on the same page. Since the thing that keeps the book open is too difficult to move, it will be tiring to move it every time you finish reading a page.

Works for me
Exactly what I was looking for. I use it for a stand for copying transparencies. I place a small light table on it, which is held in place by the two arms. The variable angle adjustment allows me to set it perpendicular to the camera, which is essential for copy work. It is also nicely made, and looks nice. Price is right. Perfect solution for my needs.

Nice but...
I am very disappointed, I was excited about this book holder but it's not quite like the photo at all.Pros:- Light.- Simple and easy mechanismCons:- The quality of the wood is not good.- Missing rubber pad on rear leg.- Missing bolts
