Great formula and exercises!

This is a very useful book to help prepare students for the types of questions that will be in either the AMC8 or the Math Counts competitions. Highly recommend. It’s a relatively short book, but contains a large number of examples with good explanations. The topics covered in this book include the following:1. Perimeter and area2. Patterns3. Logical reasoning4. Operations with fractions5. Even and odd6. Word problems related to percentOther resources that you should consider in your preparation include old AMC8 tests available from AOPS, online tutorials available for free from AOPS, and online courses from AOPS. The online courses are very useful, but are not free.

Great book! I teach a junior high mathematics club for the Texas state PSIA exam. I've been trying to figure out new ways to teach the kids for that mathematics test instead of going over the same old questions that are asked each year. These questions are challenging and well written. The answers and explanations are even better. Recommend 100%.

Very good books. Strong recommended.

Great buy to prepare kids to take the AMC, the questions are challenging and it mostly goes through the problems and how to do them. SOmetimes it just doesn't explain things though.
