10 DUMBEST MISTAKES SMART

Practical Progress in Clear Steps
I have to say, an absolutely great book and I have read a lot of these sorts of books. I am in recovery so I have been exposed to some of the concepts in here but many were new. And the information is easily digestible with clear examples that the authors picked up from years of clinical work. When I first read the list of the TOP 10 Mistakes, I thought "well, there is nothing new here." But when you get into the meat of the chapters, the authors are able to add a lot of nuance to some standard concepts and i found it tremendously helpful. I definitely learned a lot and picked up some superb tools that i think I can incorporate into my daily living to be more successful and to have better relationships. Can't say enough good things about this book.

Timeless advice- a must have
This is a super, long standing advice book for all people. Describes many things we all do as common reactions and how to correct them. I have given probably 25 copies away of this book over the last ten years. Good for teens through adult, in my opinion. Not too serious in its approach either - you'll feel good about yourself, read about some things you might do, and come away with a new understanding of yourself too.

When the student is ready...
...the teacher will appear. That is how I would sum up this book. My therapist recommended this book. She loaned me hers and I felt it so good I gave her copy back to her after I ordered one for myself. The book offers a springboard to make the necessary changes in my life without being overwhelming. I only wish that this book was offered in the Kindle format.Yes, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to take a proactive approach to making changes in their lives.

A book with great potential
This book met my expectations. The thinking mistakes are all clearly explained, with examples of each, and there are lots of suggested strategies and techniques to help a person recognize the mistake and change their thinking. I haven't given five stars because I have only just finished reading the book. I have not yet had the occasion to try out any of the suggestions. It is only after I next catch myself making one of my thinking mistakes that I'll discover how helpful this book has been.

Very informative
Unfortunately, I found this book to be an accurate reflection of my mistakes. Now I have an explanation and can work toward not making them again. Definitely worth reading.

good as it is
I bought this to bone up on anxiety and its management because I was giving support to an elderly person with severe anxiety/panic disorder for whom this book, good as it is, is not designed.

A serious behavioural manual
I fancied a humor booklet describing common foibles and shortcomings, but in fact it is a serious book analysing the main behavioural pitfalls of otherwise sane people. Anyone will be able to place him/herself in one or another category and the book will be helpful to improve the way we look to the world and other people, rather than sulking away in offended dignity.
