Q: does this item work well with thick 4c hair?

I have thick 4c hair, and I believe it does work well with that texture. I use it for personal use and have found it to be really great, could it be stronger? Yes. Could it be hotter? Yes. However, I believe it is very effective and worth the money because it gets the job done for me. I haven't had a tooth break yet, though I have only used it for a couple of months roughly. Well I see some of the answer and I agree with both sometimes and then if you comb your hair before you use it , it won't pop off.
