Great value and it is loud. If you know how to use tools and have the understanding of 12volt electrical systems. This install is easy but if you are not get someone to do it for you that is qualified. Electrical on a boat needs to be done properly or you may have a fire and that goes for anything electric.

As the only hockey fan in my marina, I was on cloud nine by myself when Carolina made the playoffs this year. My problem was my boat horn had quit working, so I couldn't 'alert' my dockmates whenever the Canes scored.No problem now! This new Amarine horn is plenty loud!!Wiring was a breeze (like-for-like) and although it was a bit longer than my old horn, I only needed to drill 2 holes in the ceiling for the support bracket...which ended up covering the old holes. This is a great horn for the price - it's heavy duty and it's loud! Go Canes!!

It's almost too loud. Sounds like a semi tractor trailer horn. If you need to let another boater know your coming, or tell them to get out of the way, this will certainly do it.It also looks really cool mounted on my bow.

Works great and nice and loud

I purchased an air horn before this one. The quality of the structure, finish, and feel of this stainless horn is definitely HD worthy. The air horn felt like in needed a rubber bulb and a clown attached to it. This thing has a good sound too! It's not a train horn but it is certainly an improvement over the cow bell.Another big plus is it responds well to polish. There is no worry of exposing copper flash plaiting. Speaking of "Flash", I found zero mold flash.I have yet to do so but I think I can modify the included stainless bracket in a way that permits use of the cow bell engine mounted brkt.. Part of that mod will facilitate easy removal of the horn without fighting said brkt.. I'll forgo the supplied outrigger brkt. as the assembly is plenty robust on its own.I'll circle back around and update if any problems arise but I feel confident all is well with this purchase.
