I ordered the green kaolin clay powder for my granddaughter who is making melt & pour soaps. It just takes a small amount so this 12 ounce package will probably last a very long time. The color is a pale shade of green. I thought I would try it in a mask, as well since there is a recipe included with the package and it seems so easy. I've never purchased clay before, but the ingredients are listed as 100% kaolin clay, and the quality seems excellent. It arrived in a resealable foil lined pouch to keep it dry and free of clumps and the pouch was packed in a sturdy zip bag for extra protection. The current price of $19.99 did seem a bit high at first, but that was before I realized how little is actually used for various DIY products. Now that I have seen how it is used, I think it the price is actually very fair.I also ordered the white clay which is also of excellent quality. Great price (only $8.99 for 12 ounces). My granddaughter is using it for her soaps, as with the green clay I already mentioned. I did not know that this could be sprinkled on plants to deter insects, but I followed the hint in the product description. My daughter has a bunch of houseplants and this has really cut down on the number of gnats that seem to like her plants so much!

Have used French green clay three to four times per year for near 50 years to clean facial pores. As it dries, one sees small dots as it works. This product is not even close. As it was drying, I glanced down teaching for my cup of tea and it looked like it was snowing as this stuffed flaked off covering the upper front of my Navy blue robe and my dressing table. I saw zero evidence of pore cleaning, but still allowed it to dry completely. Even with face wet in the shower, my face felt excessively dry. Will not use again, could not recommend. ...it is going to the compost pile.

This seems to be very high quality kaolin powder and is a lovely shade of olive green. I will be using it in my hand made soaps and I just love the green color! This 12 oz. bag costs $19.95 (as of this review) and I recently reviewed another kaolin powder here on Amazon that is a 2 lb bag (uncolored) for $17.95. I make a lot of homemade facial mud masks and scrubs and I always like to use clays. I mix: raw manuka honey, Himalayan salt, clean sand, different clays, cold pressed oils or olive oil, powdered lemon, neem, papaya powder and whatever else I have on hand. It smells terrible, but it is very exfoliating and it is my alternative to micro-needling, which I really hate. It seems to be helping tremendously with my giant pores and acne.

I used this product to help clean my pores. I realized through trial and error that a little goes a long way and that it does not take long at all.
