National Geographic Kids Little First Board Book Wild Animal Sounds

Sturdy book and my son likes it. Although for me quite expensive

A mi hijo le encanta y nos pide constantemente que hagamos los sonidos de los animales.

Typical for NatGeo, the pictures are wonderful. From the description, I was under the impression that it included realistic sounds that each animal makes but I was mistaken. The “sounds” are just the usual spellings that simulate each animal’s signature noise. Nice book, visually.

I was hesitant about this purchase simply because it’s not that pretty & it’s not illustrated. BUT there is a picture of a wolf on the front & my daughter loves all things canine, winner! She is 15 months and loves imitating the animal sounds & stares at the animal photos investigating all their faces, we get too the end & she's ready to start again!

The pictures in this book are beautiful!! Bright, vivid photos that I know as our baby grows he will continue to love looking at them. I will say some of the sounds they wrote were a bit weird, like the elephant says “snort snort”, but other than that, great book, especially for us as a Montessori home.

National geographic is just awesome all around! Great illustrations always. this has become one of my two year olds favorite books. She loves pointing at each different animal as we make the animals sound.
