Two for two didn’t work. Waste of time, energy, and a little money.
First let me say I have a few of these kinds of locks already. The ones I have are slightly different (mostly color). Anyways I’m already familiar with how they can be a tough to install sometimes and other times be quick and simple. This round should have been simple and quick. However, I did not get a chance to even attempt to install this one. When I received it had been glued together. It was obvious. It looked used and dirty and returned I’m guessing. But most importantly it did not work. No beeps, no movement, nothing. To be certain the new pack of batteries weren’t the issue, I tried another new pack and then I brilliantly grabbed my battery tester after the fact. They all tested good as I anticipated because they were new batteries. Anyways, I understand when you purchase online you occasionally get a dud. So then the return process started. I opted for a replacement. Which meant I had to pack the dud up and take it to the return site (Kohl’s) and then wait through the process all over again. A few days later, replacement arrives. Visibly it looked a little cleaner. Whatever. New batteries, beeped, programmed but was acting a little abnormal so I wisely waited before actually closing it. Good call because within less than half an hour, it died. No reviving it. I tried. And don’t expect help from the instructions. Barely understandable. So now I had to pack up and return another one and then wait for my money back. I feel like the customer is not always right but these days quality is followed up by poor or no customer service. No apologies, no make it right, just left doing a lot of leg work for other people not really caring. Should have spent the few dollars more on the ones I currently have. I’ve had a couple issues with them as well, but not like this. Maybe I was just unlucky this time. If you do decide to go with this one, I wish you the best of luck. Hey seller, drop me a line if you want to talk. I don’t want to chase you down hoping you’ll listen to me. If you care, you’ll do that part. If not, my thoughts were accurate in what I said above.

Not an intuitive setup, but you get what you pay for.
The instructions for this are not straightforward in the least. Grammatically and syntactically bizarre with no hope of correlating their "steps" with anything in reality once you have the lock and key cards in front of you. I was at a loss to locate a video that detailed anything to do with the operation and/or setup of this lock either. You'd not use it to seal Ft. Knox, though for under $20, it will keep prying eyes and sneaky hands off the liquor stash, some midlevel-valuables, or just to ensure a modicum of privacy. No doubt it will serve its purpose as a lock/deterrent especially for the price range, plus it carries the added aesthetic benefit of being low-profile and relatively out of sight.

Not a wise purchase
Ugh!! What a disappointment. Crazy ass directions that do not include any instructions on the actual installation of the unit. The directions to use the lick and key card are nearly impossible to decipher. What a waste of time and money.

Did not work
I tried using this for my bathroom drawers and the wood was too thick for the tag to unlock/lock. Returned the item.
