I gasped when I opened the box containing my new Starhawk. Much like the SSD, the pictures don't do this model justice, The scale is just huge and the detailing is impressive. I couldn't bring myself to put it away with my other Armada ships. It's currently sitting on my desk and I've caught myself staring at it periodically throughout the day.While I understand some of the frustration around the Starhawk's lack of canon, I don't really understand the people who think it's ugly. Its design reflects the lore behind it: a recognizably Rebel-style capital ship construction from appropriated ISD material. The artists who designed the model did a great job of telling story through form language and small details.My one hesitation with the Starhawk (admittedly having only used it once in play thus far) is that for the money, buying several smaller ships may actually be a better value in terms of overall gameplay. While this thing is a tanky BEAST, both for game points and real world dollars, I think there are ways to construct fleets that have more flexibility and resilience. But those are just first impressions. That said, I don't regret buying this for a minute. It's beautiful, fun, and adds a much-needed new element to Rebel gameplay. It was nice to see my Empire-focused buddy feeling a little intimidated for once.In all, a great addition to Armada. Thanks, FFG!

I don't play the game, but I got this model because it's so fantastic! It has an incredible amount of detail, which together with great coloring and weathering lend it scale and gravitas. It looks like a heavy diecast model, but it's surprisingly (incredibly) lightweight. The clear stand is very unobtrusive and helps create the illusion of a floating ship.I collect spaceship models, and this is one of the best in my collection, if not THE best. Very, very pleased with the purchase. Only downsides are the somewhat rickety stand and high price point.
