Used for a Mission Trip in the Philippine jungles
Best mosquito hammockbout there for the money. Hammock very solid. Used it for 2 weeks out in the Philippine Mountain jungles of Nuevo Era. One thing, be very careful, to give the mosquito netting enough slack so if you get in hammock and hammock not string tight it doesn’t rip out. Best to attach meeting to your hammock line so then bend together. One very obese.....well actually a big fat guy on our trip ripped his out, as he didn’t secure one of his hammock mainlines correctly, but did secure his mosquito netting properly, ie forgot to tie a knot on one end. Thus when he crashed to the ground, his netting ripped out. Luckily no Filipinos were injured beneath him when he crashed to the ground :)Just a great solid hammock! Packs up nice n small too!

first hammock down, had to order a 2nd
I just finished kayaking the entire mississippi river and took this hammock with as the primary sleep system. about half way through the 62 day trip the hammock tore in the middle of the night. i had to come up with a bush fix until i could mail myself a replacement several days ahead and down river. when i first received i noticed some cruddy stitching where the bug net and hammock meet. it was ultimately on one of these bad stitched areas where the tear occurred...emailed snugpak twice about the issue with no response at all. pretty disappointing to a customer that owns many snugpak items including tents, dry bags, hammocks, blankets, etc... search escape with jay there are vids out there for it...

Triple stitched oh ya!
Since there was limited information when I bought this off amazon, I thought I'd do a review to help answer some of the questions I had.I just received the jungle hammock today and I haven't had a chance to set it up completely. I will update the review once I've done that. This is a review of my first impressions.First, it's triple stitched. Definitely happy about that and the stitching looks good.Secondly, the item description was generic when I purchased this so here's some info.Weight capacity is 400 lbs.Dimensions are 9' x 4.8' (274x146)Product weight by their labeling is 28oz. (I don't have a scale on hand to verify. The color is Coyote.Next, the netting looks good, there's a warning about setup when pitching the ridge line for the netting to not have it too far away from the hammock as it will rip the loops off. The loops are made from the same netting so yes it would be easy to rip them off.I'm going to put some pictures with this review and add more later once I get it into the woods and hanged.

Showed up defective
Meh... Hammock showed up defective. The zipper backing that stitches to the bug-net and hammock was loose and coming undone on first setup. This same area had a baseball sized hole in the bug netting. I guess I could see this working for and average to smaller size person provided the product didn't show up defective and you're super careful with the bug-net. This is why I gave it two stars as opposed to just one.I ended up going with the Bearbutt double hammock and then getting their bug-net system. The weight for both the Bearbutt hammock and bug-net work out to be almost exactly the same as this Snugpak hammock. However you get; the option of not bringing the bug-net if it's not going to be needed, a bigger, higher quality hammock and the bug-net system if far easier to rig up with Bearbutt and seems to be much more durable.I've heard it argued that you can just flip this hammock upside down when the bug-net is not needed, but this poses 2 problems. First, you're now carrying dead weight, which isn't a concern for car camping or a day at the beach, but for backpacking it matters. Second, as previously mentioned, I don't have much faith in the integrity of the bug-net, so if you step on it, snag it on a rock, etc. I think you will wind up with a tear.Amazon handled the return like a champ, as always.

Best nights sleeping out and about
I bought one of these back in June. I used it this past weekend, Sept 13-16 and love it. It was without a doubt the best nights sleeping I've had in a long time and if I can figure out a way to put one up in my house I'll use it there too. It's light weight, kept my big ass up and comfy. A couple things to note about hammocks is that you need some sort of insulation underneath you. I used a self inflating pad and covered myself with a poncho and poncho liner. The temps where I was at dipped down into the mid 50s and I was very comfy. Take a lightweight tarp along too just in case it rains, which it did where I was. These are the hot set up, worked great.

Horrible hammock.
So I will start off by saying that I am 6'2" and weigh right around 270 lbs, definitely under this hammocks weight limit. I have been using hammocks for years and have never had one fail like this one did. I set it up in my backyard to test it out before a weekend camping trip (I'm glad I tested it). It super simple to set up. I slowly sat into it and the paracord snapped. I went crashing to the ground. The material feels nice but the paracord they are using is complete junk.
