Well Made and Very Useful
I have found that most GoPro accessories that are not made by GoPro are cheap and rarely worth the savings. Accessories from Smatree break this rule. I have purchased a number of items from them for my various GoPro cameras and all have been of the highest quality. This extendable pole is no exception. Having just returned from a month in the mountains and deserts of Colorado and Utah I used this pole extensively. First, It is very lightweight and easy to carry. Second, it extends in a variety of ways, allowing a number of options. Three, it easily adjustable. I did not use it in water so I can not speak to its ability to float with a GoPro Max but as a extendable pole it is outstanding. (I did not rate durability as I've not had it long but I suspect it will last long). The only complaint I would make--and it is so minor I did not drop a star--the wrist strap that screws into the bottom is hard to tighten and I found mine had "disappeared" somewhere along the trail. A screw driver slot in that would allow one to tighten up beyond finger strength.

Light, Compact, Versatile and Strong.
Took snorkeling on cruisem; so versatile you can have a short expandable selfie stick add another 12 inch section add a tripod mount, or have a tripod and selfie stick. I used mostly with my Olympus TG5 which is much heavier than a GoPro. It was as solid and stiff even at full length. So light and compact could carry all day. I was a Coast Guard diver and am content with snorkeling nowadays but have to question the depth rating on the floating portion of the stick. It's hollow with aluminum inserts and at some depth it will leak or explode.

I didn't test the floating part.
Bought this for a trip to Antartica. It functioned as you would expect selfie stick to. Didn't have any problems at all with it. But no way was I going to dunk it in the water to see if it would float.

Excellent carbon fiber selfie pole that floats!
This float pole is made of good quality, seems solid construction. Great long length for any purpose, but also collapses and divides into small size. Since it is a float pole I do wish it had some brighter colors for locating in the surf if dropped.

Worked great as a diving selfie
I purchased this mount for my gopro in preparation for a dive I trip I just returned from. It was light weight, easy to adjust and floats. I got some great footage and am very happy with the purchase.

This is by far the best extendable selfie stick
This is by far the best extendable selfie stick, tripod, handle mount accessory I've used! Very light weight, very sturdy. Follow the instruction on the extension nuts - they don't require herculean strength to loosen or tighten. The handle does float! I would still use some type of floaty backing just to be safe and really find your GoPro if you drop it in the water! ;) Regardless, if you are looking for something like this, I certainly recommend.

Broke and lost my brand new go pro.
I bought this because someone highly recommended it. Someone who deep sea fished before many times with it. I got it because I needed something lightweight and that could extend. It all seemed to be everything I needed and I was super excited to have it. First day I had it and took it off shore fishing. Someone bumped into the stick while we had a fish on and it snapped!!!!!!!! It was the bottom main part that stayed and the other parts which snapped off. My brand new GoPro 9 because it broke flew into the ocean ( were 110 miles off shore, deep water ) gone and never to be used again. So now I’m stuck with having to buy another GoPro and finding another manufacturer for a pole. Disappointed because I was highly recommended this product.

Light and sturdy
Ordered this because of the weight. It is very light compared to my other selfie stick and compact enough to pack. I like that the extension also acts like a floating handle.

MIS-ADVERTISING the size !
Included Floating Pole being advertised as 12.5"; in fact, it's only 8.7", TOTAL MIS-ADVERTISING !

Great
Great stick, some reviews had weak assembly, mine still work great. Aluminium camera connection is a bit slippery, but for snowboard ride, it holds fine!

Worked for one mild gentle use before coming apart
Although I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone,I really liked how light weight and versatile this extension arm was. Unfortunately, this came at the price of sturdiness and build quality. I managed to unpack and assemble the arm, mount my gopro8 and drive to the ski hill with the arm sitting on the passenger seat of my car. I used it for a total of two hours. The next day I picked up the arm from the aluminum extension with the arm in the retracted/collapsed position and the carbon fiber segment effortlessly sheared off from the immense weight of the gopro8 (approx 130grams). I hope this was a manufacturing defect because I can't explain how or why it broke in a stress fracture way after so little use. I included a photo to show exactly what I mean. For $40 I'd be very willing to admit that I stored it improperly or sat on it or what have you but it broke after being well cared for and hardly used. I think it simply was made too light weight for what it's designed for... If this was redesigned with thicker arm material and a rotating mount I'd buy it... But maybe aluminum is the way to go with the way this disassembled itself. Most of the parts of this arm are awesome but that all literally falls to the ground if the carbon rods are held together with wishes and farts.
