TV Without Cable: Guide to Free Internet TV and Over-the-Air Free TV (Streaming Devices)

To cut monthly costs, my boyfriend and I decided to get rid of our cable. I was disappointed because there are a lot of shows that I was going to miss. After I read this guide though, I was pretty much able to track down some form of streaming for all the shows that I want to watch. They definitely got their facts right when it comes to the prices of cable companies and the fact that you can survive without it. Well written and easy to follow. A little dry but gave me the info I needed.

nice read but he forgot the great free apps/channels you can get like Crackle, Tubitv, OvGuide, FilmRise to name a few that you don't have to purchase or subscribe to.

Disappointing. Most of the content would be already familiar to any reader genuinely considering discarding cable. This didn't add any depth to consideration of the options and trade-offs.

I liked the no-nonsense and concise way that he explained everything. I found his insights quite helpful. Only suggestion would be to update the book to better reflect the ever-changing technology.

I regret I didn't look at the publication date prior to purchasing this book. It is 5 years old, and much of what is said is outdated. Book was well written, and if I had read it in 2015 I would have given it a 5 star review.

The book TV without cable really didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know. Buy an antenna, get a stick of some sort, subscribe to a service. Would not buy this again.

I actually cancelled my cable about 3 weeks ago and I'm doing fine without it. I have a Kindle, a smart phone and a smart TV. Yidio,Huluplus, amazon prime and netflixd . I do not miss cable

I read the book and reread it. By the time I am able to buy the components, I feel like I can do everything I need to do to make the project successful. Covered all the information I will need

Not quite what I thought I was buying. Rather too much teaching granny to suck eggs, from my POV, but may be an eye-opener for those sucked into expensive subscription services.
