The Shadow of the Pomegranate: (The Tudor Saga: book 3): the unmissable story of Katherine of Aragon’s failing marriage, beautifully brought to life by the Queen of English historical fiction.

Excellent Read, but a Sad Tale
A very interesting and easy book to read, but I'm afraid that Henry VIII wasn't a very nice person and Katharine of Aragon was certainly his long suffering wife. All of those pregnancies she had to endure. Good job she was healthy to begin with otherwise she would have died long before she did.If you are interested in Henry VIII then this is certainly a book to read and gives a concise account of part of his life and what he got away with on the grounds of being King of England. Henry VIII was certainly a vain man who liked nobody more than Henry VIII and really not a likeable character either. Don't want to give too much away as this book is certainly worth a read if you want to know more about Henry VIII. Also this book goes into a fairly good account of how Henry VIII was manipulated by other more experienced monarchs from the continent during his early reign.Would recommend.

HENRY VIII AND HIS WIVES
I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN INTERESTED IN KING HENRY AND HIS WIVES, BUT HAVE KNOWN VERY LITTLE ABOUT CATHERINE OF ARAGON, THIS FILLS THE GAP, AND IS A FASCINATING READ; EASY TO READ AND HARD TO PUT DOWN.
