Seems like pressed cardboard, but we like it. Wouldn't get it wet.

Color was purple, not black.
There is nothing wrong with the product; it is perfect for the price. However, we felt misled by the ad photo, which looked like a black sign. What we got was a purple sign (see photo placed against a black trash can). The company did not list the color by name but by number (#30151160). We had no way of knowing the number was different from the photo. Not cool. The company needs to change that so people understand what they are getting.
