Max (Kincaid Security & Investigations Book 5)

Now that i have found Apryl Baker as an author I just love her books. Each book concentrates on one of the KSI team members and this book is all about Max.Max has a younger sister Desi that contacts him early one morning and asks him to help her good friend Shayna. He would do anything for his sister, but being a bodyguard is not one of them. He is KSI's tracker and other members do bodyguard services.Desi is insistent that her friend has a stalker and only Max can protect her.So Max heads over to the studio that Shayna is filming.After some negotiation Max and team are on the job. Both her condo and home in another state have been trashed and it's up to the team to figure out what is going on. Max can't believe how beautiful Shayna is, but more than that she is real and kind.And then Shayna's dad requires open heart surgery so Max, and team go with her to her hometown. When Max shows up at the hospital with Shayna, she freaks out and tells her dad that Max is her boyfriend as she doesn't want her dad to worry.This book had lots of twists and turns, plenty of romance and overall, a great story.

This is a well written start to this couple's love story. This is the first book I have read by this author, but it will not be the last. Read this one and then read Sheridan to see how the story ends. I usually don't like cliffhanging endings, but I knew going in that I would need to get Sheridan to complete the story. This one is worth your time. Get this one and Sheridan and enjoy.

Who knew daytime soap actors experienced as much drama in real life as on screen? Max lives up to his potential, as noted in previous KSI books. You'll love his sister's larger than life personality and soap star Shayna. Of course, others KSI personnel have supporting roles!

The story arc wasn't quite complete, given character and plot aspects. There are also words entirely missing in places, usually small ones. It's distracting to an avid reader.Worth a try.

What a great addition to the series. Just love Max, but even more with Shayla! Can’t wait to read more of their story!!

WELL, let me say first that this wasn't the complete story of these characters. It even ended with this author's note: "I hope you’ve enjoyed this teaser into how Shay and Max met and stay tuned for the full-length novel that will follow their love story and the threat that’s hanging over their heads, threatening to ruin the happiness they’ve managed to forge!"The H works at Kincaid Security Investigation and gets asked by hissister to help her friend, the h, who is a soap opera actress, withher stalker problem. Apparently, the h has been getting fan lettersand threats but they have escalated into someone breaking into her two homes. Now she's scared and only trusts her friend's brother.  I liked this story but it seemed like such a short story that I had to double check to see how many pages were in the actual book. I liked the side characters and how other characters from previous books made quick appearances. I don't think I'm going to continue on with this story but it was good enough to read once.

This book has a lot of danger,action,suspense,and a little romance thrown in keeps you hanging on until the very end hats off to this author looking forward to reading more books from her

I couldn’t put it down, I just get so lost in the story as like I’m living it. I can’t wait to continue this wonderful love story and see what her ex has in store for them next.

Do like this series and the guys from the security service who meet their other halves. Shay and max were linked by his sister and attraction was instant. Although it’s a precursor to their fuller story it reads well without having a major cliffhanger .

Can't wait for the Connor trilogy too come out and this book aswell, can't come soon enough I absolutely love KSI
