Works great if you don't have the factory cam. Very different angle of view though, so some downside. Still worth it.
This is a bit of work to install, but the instructions are SUPER detailed and work you through step-by-step, down to where to put each zip-tie, including pictures.I installed on my 2012 Veloster and it is great. The only big downside is that it mounts much lower than the factory installed camera, immediately above the license plate compared to in the hatch release handle (at least 18" lower), and as such the angle of view is very different. The factory camera looks back AND down while this camera is much more just back (almost straight out). So while it's fine for telling how close you are to something directly behind you, it is not nearly as handy for telling you how close you are to the curb and help you parallel park without killing your rims on the curb. This also means the helper lines in the display don't line up correctly and are basically useless (supposedly they can be turned off (easy), and possibly even changed with your own lines (very advanced). But all that aside it's a great add-on if you don't have one in your Hyundai and it works with your system.Install takes probably about 3 hours of patient, careful work.

Great image quality at night, pretty wide field of view for the camera.
I spend a lot of time reading forums trying to decide which backup camera to buy for my 2013 Veloster and I decided on this one. I read a review for a third party camera, and they were disappointed by poor image quality at night. I am really happy I went with the OEM part and the video quality is really good at night. I tried parking in a well lit and a very dark area and was very satisfied with the light from the stock reverse lamps for this camera.I had it installed by a car audio place and everything went smoothly. Everything they needed was in the box, including wire ties and instructions. If you wish you had a backup camera for your Veloster I would strongly recommend giving this one a shot. I had them mount the camera right above the middle of the license plate, instead of slightly off to the side. This helps me make sure that I am backing up perpendicular to the wall.

This would have a better review but I ordered the wrong one
This would have a better review but I ordered the wrong one. Returning was not a problem and I have been very satisfied with the correct camera!

just installed - 2013 Veloster Turbo - plug and play - no kidding
purchased this after a fiasco with a purchase/installation at a popular retail chain - they said they could but after 3 days of trying - they refunded all my money, no arguments..This was so easy - the key being the radio harness - makes it a plug and play. Since the car's dash was still disassembled, I did a test first before running the wires to the back. Plugged the camera, started car, put car in reverse and there it was, actually it was my face on the screen since camera was on my lap.I didn't follow instructions and used driver side to run the wires and also mounted camera between and above the exhaust where it was less visible and shielded wire from exhaust heat. Only need remove 2 panels by going that route. Picture is great and has the grid lines -

Works great!
Works perfectly! I was going to install it myself because the instructions seemed pretty good and simple but decided to spend a little extra cash and have a professional install it.Now we can see everything when we back up in our Veloster.

Took me about 2 hours of good work and mostly had no issues
Just finished installing. Took me about 2 hours of good work and mostly had no issues. One thing I wanted to tell future buyers is about removing the center console. Everyone states it's very hard but don't share their experience on how to make it easier. If you run your finger or nail around the trim border you'll find out there are small dips/gaps to insert the trim tool. Yeah, really!!! The gap is not too wide and you'll need a trim tool a little wider than a flat screwdriver. I didn't know this and was using a wider trim tool and ended up leaving marks. Not big ones. If you find the gaps, it will still be hard, but at least you'll have a chance.Camera is worth it and quality is very good. Only thing if anyone knows, can you adjust the guidelines as they are a little off?

Best thing I could have done!
Read the reviews! Luckily, I did !! your installer will tell you that there is not the proper connections to do this, mostly because Hyundai tells everyone this. The connections are already present and Best Buy Geek Squad, once I convinced them to try to install it, said that it only took 10-15 minutes for the actual installation...removing dash was hardest part (45 min).As for camera...I love it! so easy to use, and almost entirely rids the car of its major major issue of back-up blind spots!I very highly recommend it for anyone owning this car with out the camera; it decreases your liability greatly
