Tendinitis and arthritis pain relief
I’m delighted with this product! It’s an excellent brace for immobilizing my thumb! I had two other braces but the thumb extension didn’t go up far enough to prevent the bending of my thumb at the first joint. I would recommend it highly for anyone who has tendinitis. This brace fits my small hand and is adjustable to fit much larger hands and wrists. The only concern I have about this brace is that the metal rods have to be pushed back inside the fabric slots. They tend to be extended outside the fabric enclosure 1-2 inches with hand movements. I solved this problem by sewing the opening closed at the end of the brace where the metal rods were. Even with knowing this happens, I would purchase this brace again. It’s very comfortable and prevents a lot of pain for me. I have purchased two of these braces already.

Great Brace
I needed a brace for my thumb that would prevent me from bending it. I tried one that I purchased locally and it just didn't provide the support I needed. This one is great. It provides the support and is very comfortable to wear. You can use it on either hand.

This has helped so much!
I can't give this five stars for comfort just because it is a bit awkward to wear as it restrains movement, but as far as efficiency, I'd give it 10 stars. I can really tell a difference when I wear it and when I don't. I think I have arthritis in my thumb so I slip this on and helps tremendously. I had tried a glove from Walgreens but it just didn't give the support/restriction my thumb needed to feel better. I don't have to wear this 100% of the time but when I do, it does improve how my thumb feels while I wear it and for hours after.

This works, mostly!
I have De Quervain's tendinosis, and do not want to deal with steroid shots or medical intervention right now. I tried several different kinds of wraps and splints. This kind was suggested by my doctor, and I ordered it.Pros - comfortable enough to wear even to sleep in. Keeps thumb immobile. I can MOSTLY type with it on.Cons - I type on the computer for about 12 hours a day between both of my jobs, and am using the phone for texting/conferencing between times. My typing is MUCH slower with it on, and I find that I hit the space bar too often and have to correct gaps in words. This is a very small down side for something that is WORKING. The doc said in a couple of weeks at most I will probably be healed enough to not wear it, and I think she is right, in the last 4 days I am noticing significant improvement, even when I take the brace off.Overall, this is a good product. The velcro holds tightly, the metal insets stay put, and it fits well. The construction where one tab holds it sort of in place and the longer one sets the tension is a great idea, very "handy."

Strong thumb splint
This is a good quality splint. However, it has two straps that wrap around the wrist. One smaller strap and another longer strap on top of it. Both adjustable. The strap around the thumb is also adjustable. I have basal thumb arthritis and it works well to keep it stabilized. The thing I don't like are the two separate straps. I have purchased three other splints through the US store and those have a stretchy cloth between the front and back so it slips off your hand easier and you don't have to hold it to strap it around your wrist. Hard to describe, but easier to put on.

Excellent protection and comfort
This thumb brace comes down farther on my thumb than any other braces I’ve had, and that is what I needed. It’s more adjustable and comfortable, too. This is exactly what I’ve been searching for!

Might fit you better than me
I ordered two thumb splints. I kept the Spica and sent back the Vive. This was only due to individual fit. The Spica just held my wrist at a slightly more comfortable position. The Spica seemed to restrict my thumb a little more also. This is a good product, well made, and the seller gets it to you promptly. I would suggest ordered splints from two manufacturers, and just keep the one that fits you best. You might like this one, or a different one. So - good product, but find the one that fits your hand best.

Well made. Adjustable. May need an extra pad.
I like this one for helping with my moms' contracted hand. It work better than another one we tried. She ended up needing her thumb held open well for us to keep working on her fingers. We needed to add a little pad under the thumb and the velcro because it cut off the circulation. Holding it open with this brace once or twice a day (for a couple/few hours) really has helped speed along her therapy. She has Alzheimers so it is hard for her to work on it herself. If someone opens and stretches her fingers and thumb every 2,-4 hours her contraction improves and she can begin trying to use her fingers.
