I've only used one since buying and, as well as being durable it produces a good tone.

Having been away from the sax for some years I recently bought a nice second hand Conn-Selmer Prelude alto.Shortly afterwards my other half announced she would like to learn to play, in common with many beginners she found my 2.5 reeds a little heavy going but got along fine with the 1.5 that had come supplied with a spare mouthpiece I'd bought so I had a look around and found these, she probably won't be using a 1.5 for too long so we didn't want to spend too much on them and at £5.99 these seemed a pretty good deal.I found years ago that you seldom get a full pack of good reeds, they are after all a natural product so invariably some will have that have softer or harder spots, some just won't lay flat and some simply don't last long. She has bought a sax to practice at her place so we set up a couple on her mouthpieces right away and checked on four others to keep as spares at both my place and hers so we knew she would have a good reed to swap to when the time comes, bearing in mind my previous experiences of not getting use out of the whole pack I was pleasantly surprised to find that all six of those we've tried so far were good right out of the box, either I was really lucky to pick all the good ones or things have improved in reed manufacture over the last few years.Obviously at the price these aren't going to be the highest quality and I probably wouldn't want to rely on them in a public performance, but if you're looking for a light reed for a beginner you could do a lot worse than giving them a try.

Not used them yet, they are spares.

Cut is horrible, asymmetrical to the point it's almost unplayable by a beginner. Most of the reeds are already chipped or broken...Maybe I got a lower quality batch, not sure...The reed came with my saxophone had better quality :(

These are just plain horrible. I think 1 was even close to useable
