I purchased this product due to the great value (cheapest acid I could find). For my purpose, acid-washing a salt cell generator, it worked perfectly. I imagine it will also work well to balance your pool ph. However, you should recognize that the concentration of muriatic acid is very important to functionality. I searched the bottle high and low for this information, assuming it would be the standard 31.5% concentration. The acid concentration is omitted from the label. I even looked at reputable websites to glean the concentration, and the best I could find is that it varies by bottle, and typically ranges anywhere from 12% to 21% per bottle (which is clearly less than typical). You're gonna pay more for 31.5% muriatic acid, but at least you'll know the strength of your solution. With this product, the strength is nebulous...but at the very least, not as potent as you might expect. Knowing this will help you determine how much to dilute (if at all). I would re-purchase, simply because of the value, knowing I'll have to use more of it; but if you're looking for strength, I would recommend searching for 31.5% pure muriatic acid.

I used this product in my pool and worked just fine! The value for money is about the same as other pool stores but I liked how I don’t have to go out and bring it home. I have a saltwater pool and it worked absolutely fine on it. It helped maintain the acid levels in the pool. Overall, this product is quiet average value and is rather simple to use.

We use this rather than dry acid in our pool. Disburses quickly, doesn’t burn or etch the skin when an unfortunate drop makes contact. Run to hose and rinse the skin immediately, don’t make a sandwich and change the alternator before washing. This product is simply more mild on the person without sacrificing on efficacy. Always use chemical gloves and goggles when applying acid to pool or anything else!

This product is probably fine for the masonry cleanup, but given that 1) the manufacturer does not mention pool use, 2) the concentration is not listed on the packaging or the manufacturer website (the MSDS on the website shows it is between 10% and 30%) and 3) the ingredients (buffering component) are also not listed anywhere I could find them, can't be sure what you are putting in your pool in addition to the muriatic acid.
