I give this half a star for being cheap. The plastic used for the shovel is so flimsy that the first one was broken before I took delivery of the package. The second shovel broke when my 2-year old used it in sand. Sure he’s strong, but not that strong. You’ll get better strength from a plastic spoon than this product.

It's just what you need whether you're getting them for the kids to play in the sand box or for your pets when you take them on walks.

I bought these for my grandson to use at the beach for our vacation, and we were disappointed that they kept coming apart easily.

The handle and spade are just press fit onto the metal bar. I did not think these shovels would work well as a beach toy. The are used constantly by a 2 and 3 year old with no issues. They have actually held up better than shovels I thought would be much more durable. Overall these are a very good purchase at a very good price.

One time with kiddos and destroyed, definitely not as durable! May be better for kids that arent really intentionally digging.

using this as a poop scoop and it works perfectly for my purpose. As far as a beach shovel, probably will work fine too.

Ok for the little ones but may be easily broken

Both plastic parts, the handle and the spate flex a lot and can hardly support a shovel load of sand.After only a few seconds the handle of one shovel broke and pinched my sons hand and fingers. With that kind of damage the shovel is not save to use, unusable and ended up in the rubbish bin.To me the shovels are not up to the task.
