UPDATE: 2-18-16Ok, so here it is almost a year has gone by and I am almost done with the last bar of Tea Tree Oil Soap. So after all this time I thought I would try another type of basic soap just for kicks and giggles. It does not have the strong smell of this soap(actually very mild and nice) but is almost clear in appearance with bits of Eucalyptus in it.UPDATE:1-20-17 Well it's been about 8 months using the other type of Tea Tree Therapy Vegetable Base Bar Soap, Eucalyptus and I have to say that I will never go back to just this Tea Tree type of soap. The Eucalyptus version does not have the hard strong odor and even though it's not quite as large a bar than this one it lasts a long time and smells wonderful and still gives all the antibacterial properties that this style does. It lathers really well and after almost a month I still have half a bar. The smell is wonderful, not over powering like this Tea Tree soap. And I am now on my second order of the Eucalyptus version Much better soap to me than this style.Here is my original review for the Tee Tree Oil Soap.To be totally honest here, I almost shipped this back the minute I opened up the box. The smell was beyond anything I have ever smelled before and the first thought was that it was moldy, as that is what it smelled like. We took a box out and unwrapped it and let it sit for a bit. I then went ahead and used it. Truthfully, the smell is almost over whelming at first. And my thought was, I hope I don't smell like this when I go out. But after using it and sitting for a bit you cannot smell it as bad. After a few more days of using this though I find that the smell has tempered a bit and I don't mind it as much. Now for the good part. This soap works better than any soap I have ever used. I find that my skin is much cleaner and after a couple of days I can see the affects of the Tea Tree Oils. Apparently Tea Tree Oil has a very stout smell and I think that is why they perfume it so much. Either that Or I got a bad smelling batch. Perhaps somebody else can tell me. Anyway, I will keep the soap. Bottom line, The smell is very strong but dies down a bit after sitting out. The soap cleans well and keeps my skin soft.

First, this tea tree soap does not repel mosquitoes or other insects.. However, at the recommendation of our doctor, Tea Tree Therapy was suggested for cleaning eye lids and as a general body soap. This is one of the few doctors we know that thinks outside the box and is willing to offer up suggestions other than prescriptions.We went from the doctor's office to a local health supply store and bought a bar of this soap. We found that it takes very little on a wash rag to give a good lather. On the first few uses, we thought the odor was almost pungent. It definitely has its own "fragrance". But, it is not offensive once drying yourself off. And after using it for several months,it is an odor no longer offensive and worth using. Again, it is not offensive to insects as-well. But neither is any other soap we have tried.This is our second order of this soap. We have noticed that our skin is softer and scaly skin in the nose crevices are gone.The skin feels cleaner. I have now started using Head and Shoulders Tea Tree Soap for the scalp. This has also helped considerably.Should you care to try this, it would be suggested to try one bar first. To indicate a cost for use ratio, I will say this. Two of us bath daily using one bar of soap. The current order was delivered on May 31, 2018. It is now Aug 9, 2018 and we are just finishing the first bar of tea tree soap from this order.To sum this up, a sweet fragrance in soap does nothing to protect your skin. The user and some folks in the vicinity may find it appealing-bees do too. But, no one has shied away from us since we started using tea tree soap. We feel the benefits are obvious and will continue using this product. There is no reason to change and good reasons to continue.,We have been Amazon customers for several years and thus, have written a lot of reviews-both good and bad. I make it a point to respond to any questions I can answer and will defend any point in my reviews. Sellers often ask for an immediate review. I can give an immediate review of the transaction. However, I refrain from writing any product review until I am certain the product is worthy of the rating or we have had time to use the product. I also do follow-up reviews to confirm the rating, or up/down the rating. So, we call it the way we see it. We do appreciate that Amazon provides the opportunity to do this. Unfortunately, there are "shills" writing reviews that are not accurate. I have been duped on occasion, shame on me. Vendors using shill tactics have no shame.

Cleans well but very gentle on your skin, it does not dry out skin like other commercial popular soaps do. Clean fresh tea tree oil scent, not a perfume scent.

I was very excited to receive these bar soaps and have high hopes for it usefulness. I had my husband put one in each bathroom so that my son & I have it readily available for use. At the end of the day I entered the master bathroom and asked my husband if he had sprayed bug spray an he told me it was the soap that was giving off that scent!In all fairness, the smell was gone by day 2. I will tell you it does work wonders though. I used it on my scalp and I felt it tingling the entire time. It also helps to heal minor cuts as Tea Tree Oil is a natural Anti Fungal.My son had slight eczema and this really works in keeping his skin healthy. I personally do not like bar soaps in general because of the film it leaves on the skin but this soap left no film or discomfort of any kind.For me, this is a MUST HAVE for healthy skin and scalp. I can get past the initial smell because the benefits far outweigh the smell.FYI, a lot of reviewers complained that they could not smell the Tea Tree Oil, I smelled it right out of the box when I first got it! Everyone's sense of smell is different, which is why there are so many mixed reviews for this product...but if you have any skin issues, this is the bar soap for you!

I have been a long time user from this brand and product. I starting using the oil. They works great for insect bites, few drops on the shampoo. Now I use the soap bar to clean my face. Has a strong smell that is not everybody taste but the benefit outshine the smell.
