722007-PT Natural Wet Plant Amendment

Effective product, but needs better instructions. This inquiring mind wants to know how it works.
I saw an immediate improvement in the turgidity of the plants the day after I applied the wetting agent. I applied again the next week because I was traveling and unsure how often they would be watered. My only complaint is the lack of instructions on how often to apply. How long does the agent stay active in the soil? Is it reactivated when I water? I checked the Safergro website and found no information there. It would be helpful to understand how this works.

Didn't do much
I have been fighting hydrophobic soil for years now. You can spray the sand for an hour, wipe your finger across the wet part, and it's completely dry less then an 1/8th of an inch down. After learning about wetting agents, I thought I would give this one a try. I mixed it according to the instructions and sprayed it through a pump up sprayer, but the sand still repelled the water. Thinking I didn't get enough, I used a heavy dose in mixer attached to the hose and watered in the next 3/4 of a bottle in a very small area with the same results.I then read about using dish soap like Dawn and watering that into the soil. Using the dish soap actually started having an effect on this area and other area's of the lawn.

First time I tried a wetting agent - no disasppointments!
This is a great product to use for hydrophobic soil. In most cases it worked on the first application. I have many landscaped areas and just about all of the property (about 1/4 acre) is hydrophobic. I live in central Florida and the soil is a fine sandy soil. Despite amending landscaped areas with top-potting soil-coir and peat the hydrophobicity returns after a while with the hot Florida weather and a few dry days during rainy season and a few dry days during dry season. This a long haul battle (for our property at least) to reverse out and Safegro is an excellent product that works; it just not an affordable one for the amount of property I have to use it for. I certainly would like to have some on hand to use when applying hose end fertilizer not only for the foliar feeding but wetting the soil as well. You won't be disappointed with the product as it works well.

Recommended organic wetting agent.
This is an excellent sticker/spreader/saturator suitable for use in an organic garden. It works great in foliars or as a wetting agent for hydrophobic peat. It goes pretty far for the money and can use a few ml in hydroponics up to an oz./gallon for foliar use. This is a great buy for the money.

Great
This works great! exactly as it is supposed to as a wetting solution. I use it when I make my own mix for African violets.

Better off with baby shampoo
It was quick and easy to apply but did not do much after 3 applications. With that said I will continue to use baby shampoo as it's much cheaper with equal or better results, was certainly expecting more for the price here.
