My Megaminx is an original from the late 80's so it is stiff as a board to turn. This new one is (as well as all of the cubes) super smooth. The "empty" box fell off a chair and out of it spilled the cube stands that I did not know were in there and a fully detailed color solve guide! This book covers all of the cubes that this manufacturer makes. I am in awe that they took the time to write one. Very impressed with everything.

Update - Vendor sent a replacement 2x2 free of charge, and it works great.The cubes move very well, but I was surprised to find that all cube sides are stickers. The biggest gripe I have is one cube broke in the first 45 minutes after receipt If you have young kids, avoid this as it will most likely break into a chocking hazards.

I purchased this set for my 9yr old and he totally loves it. The variety allows him to not get bored of these type of puzzles. He really enjoys showing off his new skill and I love that he is not in front of a device. The quality is pretty solid and the set has been pretty durable. Great buy!

My kids, like many, have really gotten into the renewed Rubik's cube craze. They've been enjoying speed cubes and learning the moves to solve a regular 3 x 3 cube with amazing speed. I picked up this great set as a way to add some variety, and they were instantly hooked. They love the various cube styles, which each add a new challenge in figuring out the moves to solve. These cubes seem well made. All of them have good smooth travel on the mechanisms, and the stickers are well attached. This seems like a good value, as well. Recommended.
