Sprong Dog Chew and Squeak Toys - Saturn Ball - Assorted Colors

Flimsy cheaply made, Squeak whistle dislodges within a week of use. Nice colorful felt covering peels off into our dogs' mouths; our hands and clothes. Notice the manufacturing of this is in CHINA where quality control and safety are anathema to profit. We have 2 black labs that love this toy. And embarrassingly we bought 3 times hoping each time we just got a "lemon". Well, we found out every single one we received did the same thing: no squeak, sloughing of covering making a mess.DO NOT BUY

This is my Doberman pinscher's fave "baby ball", and miraculously, she doesn't put a mark on it, even though, true to her breed, she will scientifically disembowel stuffies and eat the fur off anything really fuzzy. And yeah, it's a bit small, but we got it for her as a pup and she doesn't like the larger ones as much. Go figure.So, caveat: not safe for toy-eating dogs, obviously. It's like flocked foam rubber. But it's soft, fuzzy without having removable fur, and squeaks easily but not too loud, and the squeaker lasts pretty well. Oh, and annoyingly, it does head for under the couch far too often.We have three so far; one stopped squeaking pretty quickly when a stray tooth I think made a direct hit on the squeaker hole. One, seven years old at least, has had all its flocking sucked or dissolved off, but still manages a whispery squeak, and a newer one which is now of course her favorite. She holds it, squeaks it and whines along with it (??). And takes it to bed with us.But I would strictly supervise this until you know your dog won't eat it. It's all fun and games until bowel resection.Worth a try: you just never know what their favorite toy will be.

It’s difficult for me to figure out how to rate this product. If my dog were writing this review, he’d give it 100 stars. Hands down, sprongs are my dog’s toy of choice. I used to purchase these for years from Walmart for my dog and suddenly, I couldn’t find them in stores anymore.In terms of durability, these are not chew toys... obviously. They are squishy, foamy, squeaky, erratically bouncy balls that send your dog into a squeaking frenzy. But they will face their ultimate death within about 3 months, if your dog doesn’t demolish it intentionally.The reason for 3 stars however, is the squeaker within the sprong I received from Amazon broke within about a day. The squeaker was never the issue with sprongs I purchased within the store. This one in particular though, actually rattled before I even used the product, and consequently fell out of the sprong the first day.Were these the left over, wholesale liquidated sprongs from a store? Pre-damaged? Perhaps we received a faulty toy by bad luck. But due to our last purchase, I decided to not repurchase. Watching my dog attempt to go on a squeak rage in vain made me feel pretty bummed.

My Dog LOVES LOVES this toy and it keeps her so happy and content. This is the fifth one, I bought the others from local stores. I want to rate this a 5 only because my dog loves this thing so much but I will give it three stars because of the price and quality. I've had several dogs over the years. I had a puggle that could tear or break ANY toy in about 30 mins. My current dog is not destructive at all and it is usually about a week before a lot of the felt covering is peeling off and about another month before there are holes in the foam cushion. I will not pay $16 for another sponge roller with a squeaky toy inside.

My dog is quirky. He bugs us to play with him but doesn't seem to know how to play! He just stares at balls and frisbees. These Sprong balls, though, he loves! I don't understand why...this blue one is a replacement for a previous favorite but he's loved all the different shapes I have brought home. He whips his neck to throw them and he chases them himself! He now comes to me when he wants me to throw the ball around the house for him.The downside, as so many others have mentioned, is that the foam toy is very easy for the dog to chew up. This new one I bought I'm not giving him full access to. I will throw it to him but when he starts to move away so he can chew it up I take it away and give him something safer to chew.So..I love these because my dog loves them, but I wish he didn't destroy them so quickly. If you have a dog who will chase other, more durable items I don't recommend this, but we can't live without them!

My dog LOVES these things. She has had 2 Sprongs so far, the knobbly red one and the "jack" shaped blue/green one.I give 4 stars rather than 5, however - because they are very easily destructible.My 5/6 month old medium chewer removed the squeaker in <20 minutes, which she has not done with any other squeaky toy.If you want a squeaky toy which will last over half an hour - I recommend the Kong Wubba. It gets the same strong reaction of a great squeaker, and is indestructible by comparison.

I bought this sprong to replace one that my dog loved so much, but one of his doggie buddies came for a visit and pulled each numb off, which saddened my dog tremendously. My dog is a 90+ pound pitbull, with great jaw strength, but he is pretty particular about this sprong and plays rough but not destructively with it. So far, the ball is holding up. Since it took over a year for me to locate a replacement for his last one, I bought two. I just wish the company allowed you to pick which color you want. I ended up getting two green ones, and I would have liked at least one red one to replace the color of the one he had previously.

Pros: this toy was awesome and my dogs loved it. If it lasted it would be a 5 star toy.Cons: it lasted less than 20 minutes before it was destroyed.

My dog loves these soft balls. And almost undestructable. We can throw them around without damaging anything. So glad we were able to find these on amazon. They are not easy to come by!

Easily ripped apart by my young puppy. Not durable.

They squeak, they bounce erratically, they have a cool texture, and they're light and soft enough to be tossed indoors! Our dog LOVES frantically chasing these around. :D

I have a small dog who loved the sound however, tore it into large chunks of foam within 5 minutes. No worth the near 10$.
