Dipende dall'uso

doesn't work
The blade is so dull it doesn't stick to anything. My soundpost falls off before it even reach the f-hole.

I am no luthier
I am no luthier but I needed to reinsert a sound post after I dislodged it tuning a seldom used violin forgetting it was strung and tuned as a viola. My bad. I ordered this thing which all the pro luthiers i have been to use but for the life of me I could not figure out how to use it. Instead I got an Aven 18400 Curved Serrated Forcep with Lock, Stainless Steel, 6" Length from Amazon and then tied a thin string to the sound post with a clove hitch used to keep the post near the tweezers. I grabbed the post with the tweezers and could position it fairly easily. I could then reach the clove hitch with the tweezers to grab one coil allowing it to be removed easily. I wanted to play a few fiddle tunes for the grandchildren at Thanksgiving and it worked fine with the repositioned post. The builder, a friend, had marked where the post should go. Yes I know a small fraction of a mm can make a huge difference in sound but as a folkie I'm not that fussy that I need to spend $200 every month or two for a pro tuning.
