Very Durable and attractive
I bought these lights for my driveway headwalls over 5 years ago and they were perfect for illuminating my driveway entrance and held up all this time through all kinds of weather without fail. Then my son advised me to “clean” the oxidation off with Mcguiar’s Plastix and now they’ve stopped working! I am purchasing again only to replace what I should have left alone.

Nice and Bright
These are perfect for my application under a grapevine arbor. They are nice looking and rather large and light up nice and bright even though they arent getting a lot of direct sunlight since they are under a grape vine arbor...they still glow for a long enough period to light the steps for my guests. They will be brilliant once the vines die back for the season

Bright and look great
The light is bright and love the way they look. The instructions were a little odd. It read I had to remove the back of the light to activate the light but there is a pin hole on the back which allows a paper to be inserted which then turns on the light. Do not open back. It's difficult to put it back together.

Excellent Low Profile Stair Light
I bought and installed these about three years ago. Finally had to replace battery, and found that one wouldn’t turn off - the dog had pawed it and damaged the solar panel, which not only makes recharging possible but also seems to be light detector for auto on/off. So I bought replacements, but the other original works great with new battery. The light is directed downwards but covers a broad area - the four steps I have are completely illuminated as well at landing and top area without light pollution messing with folks seated on porch at top of stairs. Lasts at least 12 hours as long as Sun has been working. The extreme Mohave Desert heat >120F during Summer has not affected, and only slight yellowing of lens. The only downside to design is the on/off switch is on the wall plate side, so if you use adhesive you can’t access it without removing light from wall. No big deal unless that’s a feature you might use.

Failure rate
I bought eight of these lights in July of 2018. As of June, 2019 one failed. I replaced the battery but the solar panel did not recharge a fully charged battery so the solar light was a throwaway . My expectations were that the original batteries would last a year of recharging. I think most of these units can only recharge about 400 times. I will replace the failed unit with a new one and see how the others fair for another year.Update Aug 2021.Recently, five of the remaining seven failed. I was was able to restore 4 of them with a investigation of the failures. My experience with the batteries has been good considering a midwestern climate with snow. The most common failure I experienced is the on/off micro switch. It get corroded. So a simple fix is to bypass it. If you have a soldering iron, you can simply solder a thin wire (like from a ethernet cable) across the switch terminals. A simple test with a fresh/recharged battery is to short the switch terminals with a small piece of metal (Knife/scissors) to see if the leds light before you solder the bypass wire.My experience after two/three years in a midwestern climate was (1) condensations in the lights; their not waterproof, consequently corrosion becomes a factor and (2) the protective plastic over the solar cells starts to peel.

Easy to place...no wires and very reliable
They are fantastic..been using these on the side of our hot tub to light up the steps at night....easy install and they are bright enough to see the steps clearly but not so bright as to disrupt the ambiance of soaking in the dark. Very pleased with these

Don’t buy if you plan using screws to mount!
Wow what a joke! Okay seriously, this is one of the most poorly designed products I’ve seen in a VERY long time. Unless you plan on mounting it with the 3M tape, look for another light. First of all, I’m not sure why you would want to mount these with 3M tape to begin with. What are ya mounting it on a car?!? A kids plastic play house? I mean if you are mounting this on a wood deck or wood fencing with the screw provided, then just don’t! The screw mounting holes are all on one side only. Yep, I mean it! If you look at the back and think the one in the middle is centered...NOPE! It is just enough off center that the light will tilt to the side. Even if you do put both screws in, it will just tilt right of the outside mount and lean all crooked. Additionally, the super soft metal screw provided stripped out even just using a non-powered Phillips screwdriver. These lights are a joke. If you choose the 3M tape method, then just know the clock is ticking and counting down till these things fall off the surface you stuck em on. Regardless, these lights are absolutely junk and should be avoided at all cost if you plan on installing them and leaving them on for more than a few weeks or a few months...depending on how long it takes the tape to come off.The first clue that these are junk is when the instructions keep telling you to “ax” the lights into place with the 3M tape. I kid you not! It’s not just a typo. They repeatedly tell you to prepare the area where you’re going to “ax” the lights. There is no way these are truly meant to hang up outside in the elements for any period of time without falling. These were made to just sell quickly to make the Chinese manufacturer some money with absolutely no concern whatsoever for the consumers using the product. They are an absolute joke. I don’t know where all of these good reviews come from. They can’t all be real since one honest review about the poor design for mounting would have sent me looking elsewhere. Take it from me. Learn from my mistake in purchasing these ridiculous lights. Look elsewhere or just know that the tape method of installation is the only way you can actually use these lights...and even then, not for long.
