I bought this specifically as a dog food scoop. It's sturdy and works great. The handle has a nice length to it and does not bend when you scoop.

The dog is supposed to get 1 ½ cups of kibble. But my husband wouldn't scoop three level ½ cups. Nor could he scoop ½ cup in a 1 cup container. So 1 ½ cups of kibble became 2 cups of kibble, amd soon our pup was putting on the pounds...Then I found this perfect messing cup. Now 1 ½ cups of kibble is 1 ½ cups.Not life changing, but it makes me happy..

With this 1.5c scoop, my lazy teenager can’t mess up the dog food portions. At least the dog wins.

There is a marking inside the cup for 1½ c, so it's slightly larger than advertised. Not a huge deal for my needs, but it could pose issues depending on what you need it for. The handle is also pretty long, and since we're using it for dog food, it causes some issues getting it into and out of the bag. It's otherwise great and just what we needed to make puppy feeding easier.

My review comes 5 years later. Yes, it took me a while to finally review this product! When I first moved out on my own as a college student I bought many measuring cup sets from Walmart for a dollar. They faired alright but, after many washings the measurements gradually faded, and the plastic edges became rough. Only needing for me to replace them 6 months to a year later. Which added up to some money that I got tired of just wasting. So, I finally searched Amazon for what my a Chef Quality measuring cup. I came across RSVP and I'm so so happy I did. I bought several sets and decided I need something bigger than the typical 1 cup because I had grown tired of my glass measure cups as well (the numbers disappeared). The 1.5 cup is really a wonderful measuring cup. It is strong enough to be heated on the stove for chocolate or a stick of butter. I've put everything from water, sugar, onions, to oil in it. After 5 years it still looks like it is nearly new. I haven't cared for it any special manner other than tossing it in the dishwasher. I can still clearly read the etched numbers and wording on the cup. Which I love. I've saved a tons of money buy purchasing these, and I am so glad I did. Its worth the price and it pays for it with time. If I kept up with plastic cups I would of bought lets say 3 sets a year. Lets say they're a $1.00 a peice. In 5 years that would be $15.00 meaning this product really has paid for itself and will continue from every year forward. Additionally, I don't see myself needing to replace it any time soon. I have added more cups to my collection. I rather pay for quality.

Initially, I wasn't so sure about a 12 oz. measuring cup - I mean, come one! BUT I was wrong! Use it a lot - had not realized how many recipes call for a cup and a half!SO glad I ordered it!

Good product for chinese mfg. A little pricey.

I use this to scoop my dog’s food - one scoop twice daily!

Very good quality. Good weight. Liked that it had measurements inside & that you could use it on the stove element to warm up contents. I have ordered another one for a family member.
