Cervical Neck Traction Device Over Door for Neck Pain Relief

I just received this today and once I finally was used it right and go up to a good height and relaxed I had the most amazing release in my neck that I’ve ever felt. It was better than I’ve ever felt at the chiropractor. I’be just recently been to a doctor for severe chronic neck pain and found out at 30 years old due to multiple physical trauma to my neck , head and back, I found out I have a lot of cervical issues, multiple bulging discs, bone Spurs and spinal narrowing, etc. I’m still in the process of treatment, and was trying avoiding painkillers , but anti inflammatories, muscle relaxers , massage wasn’t helping my severe pain. Finally tried pain killers and those barely help . I can’t sleep ,and really function . This is the first thing that instantly helped my pain . Plus just the adjustment from the decompression was the most satisfying feeling I’ve felt in so long. I’ve tried decompression stretches, a inversion table and laying on my bed with my head hanging off and only felt very minor relief . This was like a full release . It’s only been the first night but I look toward to using this , and I think I’m going to finally get a full nights rest tonight. Thank you! Get this everyone, even if you just have neck tension. The fact that this helped me this will be effective and satisfactory for everyone .

If you're tall ( I'm 6'3 ) this probably won't work using the over the door method. They then suggest using a chair but how does that work well with it being right up against the door?To solve the height problem I had to mount it to one of the joists in the basement. Just punched out a hole in the joist and fed the doorstop through. Worked great!Finally, I got it all setup.I don't know how there are so many positive reviews on here -When I tried this the brace put so much pressure on my jaw which made my teeth clinch together so much it was very very uncomfortable. I don't know how other people can stand all that pressure! It was starting to give me a headache!Okay, so gritting my teeth through that issue, I was trying to lower myself down far enough to where I felt a stretch but that never came. It got to the point where it felt really unsafe as my head started to slip through the brace.The instructions that came with this are negligible. They list all the parts and how to set it up (still needed to refer to the video provided here at Amazon ) but they don't have anything regarding how to use this properly or how to NOT use this improperly.I question if a lot of the reviews here are from real people.

I've never minded the smell of products and always thought it was weird when people posted reviews complaining about a products smell. Well today I met my match. This thing smelt so strongly of mens truck stop restroom that I thought the kids had urinated on the spare restroom floor and poured toilet cleaner on it to cover it up. I sat there for 15min with the device on trying to resist the urge to check out what must have happened. Eventually I went to check, and I could still smell it but no nearly as strong, and there was no bathroom mess. I went about some chores and the smell was still there, which I later figured out had rubbed off on my face. Later in the day I went to use the device again and the smell was there again. That's when it hit me. I smelled the head strap and there it was. Not just the head strap but all of the pieces and the packaging. It smells just like a public restroom urinal cake, and it is strong!That said using the product felt great for my constant neck and upper back pain from working in a quarry when I was younger. I am hoping I can wash the smell out of it.

I tried this sitting on a tiny chair and I guess it works well to give you a good beck stretch. I have a curvature in my neck which gives me constant neck pain but after using this I feel better. (Although using it is a little uncomfortable)

Great product! Works really well better than other neck traction collars. As a chiropractor I am always looking for products to help my patients. The only thing I do not like about this unit is that the setup is very awkward and the strap is a little short. I would recommend this product to people and I like the fact that it has more pull strength and than other traction collars available.

I should have thought of this before purchasing- I have bad teeth and I simply could not use this product. Of course it puts a lot of pressure on your jaw, so if your teeth are fragile at all this can be very dangerous. For people without dental issues, I'm sure it can be helpful. Thankful I could return it.

I have lots of issues in my neck area, ie herniated disc, arthritis, stenosis and it gives me headaches and muscle spasms. I decided to look for something that would give me some traction for my neck. Usually it is my husband or a physical therapist. I found this and decided to give it a try. I have to say that I love this device. I use it every day for a count of 10 with the traction and a count of 10 let up. I do this 10 times. I found that using a bench set up almost against the closed door works well. It doesn't take the problem away but it makes it a lot more tolerable. I would highly recommend it.

Had C5 C6 and C7 fused in 2017. Pain kicked back in above and below the fusion around 2019 or so and has gradually gotten worse. I've tried SO many products, rollers and massagers, but THIS is the first thing that has actually relieved my pain. It's a bit awkward to use and it didnt come with any directions- but you can figure it out with the picture. ***Huge Recommendation if you buy this product*** GET a SPORTS MOUTHGAURD. The amount of pressure and force you put on your teeth is probably dangerous. Overall- this is well-worth the money.
