Great music
My husband and I love the music from the past because it has meaning and we can relate to it. It brings back memories about music with meaning and love.

"Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel"
The Tavares Brothers from Massachuttes in the period from about 1976-1983 had a huge presence on the radio and discoteques from It only takes a minute girl, follow up in the summertime of 1976, Heaven must be missing an Angel, Don't take away the Music, to their big hit on the Saturday NIght Fever soundtrack" More than Woman " Their harmonies and the great orchestration from Freddy Perren and Gene Page, were great. And the followup in the spring 1977 "Who Dunnit, clever and danceable, following their switch from Capitol Records to RCA records in 1983-brought us Penny for you thoughts not listed on this compilation, kind ended their radio play. Still this is a good cd of their hits,

SOMETHING'S WRONG
Played on my BOSE, which should have enhanced sound but it sound 'tin canny'! Right from da 1st note and through out entire CD. This may sound kray kray but reminds me of dat sound when U played Ur 8track or cassette tape over n over n over. Stretchy like, forcing U 2 finally toss it. I sat VOLUME @ a ridiculousl 60 n could hear no bass, it was horrible! What a total disappoint 😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣

TAVARES: Bringing Back The Sound of Disco
In one album the Tavares brought back the sound of disco and boy does it sound great. My generation was there in New York City, the Mecca of disco and the music was remarkable. The Tavares contributed greatly with their driving beat, harmonious lyrics, and impeccable show stopping dance performances. The CD "Tavares: The Greatest Hits" is one of the music gems of its time. It's More Than a Woman!"

Tavares: greatest hits of disco classics - and more
With all their (Uk) top 75 hit singles and more, featured on this excellent compilation cd;I am more than pleased with my 'budget' price purchase.Tavares: where regular occupants of the singles chart in the mid to late '70's,With their brand of disco and soul gems.including; Heaven must be missing an angel,More than a woman, who dunnit and Don't take away the music - all classics in the field.Named after the Brothers - hailing from Rhode island,New york, who formed the group in 1959 (yes, really),the hits are still timeless, and some of their lesser known songs,eg:a version of Hall and Oates'- she's gone,is an excellent inclusion.I was at first,a bit wary of hearing dodgy re-recordings,shortened edits and a general feeling of disappointment, buying at such a cheap price.Fear not: they are all original recordings, and in the case of Heaven must be missing an angel and Don't take away the music; they come in their full/extended versions - more than exceeding my expectations. One last thing I must mention: the under-rated,Last train to paradise and non hit,The love I never had, are also excellent inclusions.Enjoy this collection - I did/do!

Brilliant!
I've bought this a s a stocking filler for my lovely other half for Christmas. We went to see a concert with Tavares in not too long ago here in Liverpool and they were still brilliant although a few of them have gone a little stiff over the years! They've been going since 1959 so that can be well forgiven I think! This is a great cd with the Tavares songs we all love and know including More Than a Woman, Whodunnit, Don't take away the Music and of course Heaven Must be Missing an Angel! Brilliant. They started out as 'Chubby and the Turnpikes' They were even an opening act for The Jackson 5 in the 70's so you know they were great.Great cd that'll have you dancing away with your lovely other half in no time! :)
