Nice Quality Bowl
This was purchased as a gift for our ramen crazed teenage son. The bowl is sturdy, beautifully finished, and of a sufficient size to microwave ramen packs and also add extra vegetables, egg, etc. without overflowing. The decorative cherry blossoms on the bowl and spoon are inset and white glazed. The lid fits well, although it may not see much use for us other than decoration due to using a microwave. Very nice.

Beautiful bowl set
GORGEOUS. I purchased 4 of these, and they all came in perfect shape thanks to the thorough packaging. My husband has always made the most delicious Japanese / Hawaiian dishes, we didn’t do anniversary gifts this year but instead decided to invest in a soup set and I’m so glad we did. We will be taking extra care of these in hopes they’ll be around for a long while. They’re so pretty, I had to display them on a shelf instead of keeping them in a cabinet. I’m obsessed!

Beautiful Bowl
It took a while to get to me but was so happy when it arrived! This is a beautiful very sturdy bowl. I love my ramen and really wanted a nice bowl to compliment meal time. This stoneware is super thick and heavy, I love it. It does have texture on the inside of the bowl from the special glazing on mine (black and white swirls) that could make it a little more time consuming to clean, but just rinse it out right after and it will be fine. Very handsome set, very happy with my purchase. I will be purchasing another for a friends Birthday.

Does exactly what it's supposed to with style
I utterly love this set. The bowl is sturdy and holds heat very well. I think I got my top wet, because it warped just a bit after a couple uses. It doesn't affect anything aside from rocking a little when it's being used, though. The blue is really pretty too.Since it holds heat so well, you obviously want to keep pot holders handy. If you have medium sized hands, it's not too hard to hold the bowl by the ring at the bottom and the top without burning yourself if you can't find your pot holders.

Not so great paint job. They said eh.. good enough.
The paint job is not the best. I'm worried about cooking with it. It looks like it will come off in my food.
