Best tab hands down.
I’m so happy to have bought this 8” tablet. I was going to wait for the iPad mini 6 but I’m slowly converting to the dark side. First, it started out with a kindle fire side loaded google play and that’s when it dawned on me that I can do way more with an android. I still have a full size iPad, but have been wanting a more compact tablet to take with me for on the go.I know this tablet is meant for the workforce but like a previous reviewer said, this is the best Samsung has out there for an 8”. It is very responsive and snappy, as for the past 3 days I’ve received it.. I have solely used this tablet for everything. The battery for me has lasted 6 hours with heavy use. And i usually start to charge my devices around the 25% mark. The S pen works great with drawing or writing but when just scrolling through the internet or customizing my homepage, I notice there are spots in the middle of the screen that isn’t as responsive to the pen as opposed to my finger.I put in a prepaid T-Mobile SIM card and now I have data on the go. I didn’t know this, but originally I wanted to use it as a phablet.. just because. However when I went to T-Mobile they said that the only time it would work as a phone is if I have a working android phone that has service, because in order to use it in that way that I wanted, it would need a “merger”. Wish I knew that but even if I did, I still woulda got this tablet amongst all other competitors. It’s just so fast. And I love that I can put an external card to increase the total GB size!Very happy with this. Oh and I use a keyboard case instead of the case it came with which makes it that much more useful :)

Best 8-inch Android tablet on the market (for now)
Samsung refuses to make the flagship 8-inch tablet of my dreams, so I settled for this beast. It's like a big, heavy Note, but it's a great size and the S Pen feels smoother than my Apple Pencil on my iPad. The hardware buttons are nice to have, and the ability to assign apps and functions to the side keys is great (sleep now, Bixby). The tablet itself pretty much requires the case to be on -- the tablet has a bumpy housing that fits into the case grooves. Hot-swapping the battery is a pain, since the case is very stiff and hard to put on and take off. If I needed this thing to stay on for days on end, I'd invest in an inexpensive external battery instead.***Update, September 2021 — the tablet is still great with one exception: it's horrible in direct sunlight (at least, the one I have is). I bought the tablet to use in the field and to take hiking/backpacking, and though it is rugged, it's impossible to make out anything on the screen when outside, even at the highest brightness setting.

More Hype Than Value
It's smooth and It's fast and the screen quality is OK, not outstanding but OK. The "rugged" plastic cover is very hard and very slippery and very useless. I have an original soon to be unsupported Galaxy Tab A that is just as good as this new model and didn't cost a fortune to buy.

Great tablet.
Like that it has a place for the pen.
