This book is beautifully crafted and superbly written. The photographs covering virtually every type of SS Helmet are superb. It is an instant classic of its type. If you collect WW-II helmets you should own this book.

No serious collector of WW2 helmets should be without this book in their reference library. A good companion to Ludwig Baer's "History of the German Steel Helmet 1916-1945"

A must have reference for all true collectors.

This is a large format book, which is VERY refreshing for those of us who are not absolutely crazy about the small, thick, format most collector books have chosen. It makes it easier to see the excellent photos and makes it easier to handle and read. Photos are great, details are great, text is great, everything about this one is great. Buy this book, along with Kelly Hicks' "SS Steel" and you'll have the two end-all books on the subject of legit SS German helmets. HIGHLY recommend this one!
