I love these cool little lights and I am looking forward to them lasting a long time, as removing the old incandescent bulbs was always a pain. The last time, with both bulbs the glass part twisted off and I had to remove bases and shrapnel with needle-nose pliers. The emitted light is soft, exactly as a night-light should be. After all, who wants a spotlight under the microwave? On the Amazon website for this product, it was clear that on the "low" setting there would be flickering but so far I am flicker-free. I would not have a problem leaving the lights on the "high" setting and then pushing the on-off switch to extinguish. I have a GE SpaceSaver, circa 2001, and it seems that these bulbs are a perfect match for this unit.I do have a question which I have sent via email to ATMOS and asked on this forum: does the soft, clear plastic sleeve around the filaments come off prior to installation? I started to remove it but it seems glued in place. Until I hear a response, I'll use these lights sparingly, as I left the sleeves on.

Very good product. Works properly as a replacement for our under microwave/over-stove bulbs. Easy to install. Not the seller's fault, but the description says Warm White (2700K-3000K). My wife and I find them to be much more bluish or pure white than 2700K which typically has the yellowish and softer color of incandescent lighting. I noticed that the box which held each bulb said warm white. Just doesn't look that way to us.

Very disappointed. Not a bright light like the LED sewing machine light I have. Plus, the color of the light is strange - definitely not white. The problematic point for me is that in the dimmed state, the light flickers like a strobe light. That is a deal-breaker for me.

DO NOT BUY.I put a pair of these in my 2005 GE microwave. Within 1 year, one of them was 'burnt out.' When I went to replace it, I was shocked by the extent. I'm thankful a fire wasn't started. There was significant charring on the plastic cover of the light outlet. The bulb separated from the socket and was difficult to remove. It tripped the circuit the microwave was on.I'm replacing it with a different brand

It is good to finally have a suitable LED (3.5 watts each) replacement for the two 40 Watt consuming incandescent surface lights in my GE Microwave Oven. The lighting is whiter than the incandescent originals, but certainly not objectionably so. Thanks for the product.

I bought these to replace the original halogen lamps in my LG microwave / hood filter and I am very happy with them. Not only are they bright, cool, and instant-on, but they do not flicker on HIGH or LOW light settings. Nice! The longer length gives just a little extra light output that make my range's cooktop bright enough to work with without heating up the cooking area.

These work great under my microwave and provide nice light, except at the time I bought them (probably at least 6 months ago now), the description did not mention that they flickered when dimmed. Your eyes eventually get used to them when putting on the night light under the microwave, but it's definitely really strange at first and to guests.

Bulb fits the underside of my Whirlpool microwave (WMH31017AS) just fine. The high setting is nice and bright, the low setting is good, but when I go to the "off" setting, the bulb does not turn off completely. It emits just a little light. So, essentially, the bulb has three light levels, but no "off." We keep it on all the time anyway and like the nightlight-like quality of the "off" setting, so it works for us, but you should be aware.
