UPDATE 4 YEARS LATER: This girth has held up so well! Between muddy/wet trail rides, shows, and consistent use (sometimes really tough use too) this thing has really impressed me. I'm just now noticing some of the neoprene is flaking a little where it connects underneath the horse but it has a long way to go still!For the last eight months since I've had my mare, we've had a serious saddling problem. Sometimes her reaction to being girthed up was so extreme she would flip over and rear multiple times. I tried everything from reprimanding, lunging before saddling and not at all, to cinching up one hole at a time and just believing it was attitude (She is a redhead after all lol). Nothing I tried truly fixed the problem. (Mind you, everything on this set up came with this mare and had been used with ease on her before so I had no idea what was going on).After much research, fitting my girl and educated guessing (she's my first horse), I decided to purchase this girth. My English girth is Professional's Choice and she NEVER reacts to that so I thought I'd try it.I have had this girth a WEEK and my mare has NOT reacted once and I am in love! Feels way more comfortable than the old girth and doesn't slide. While not sliding, this cinch also doesn't rub or pinch. It bonds to sweat well while not getting slippery nor absorbing it in. My girl was so much happier after the first time I put it on (she gave me the "finally you get my mesage" look)! If you have a super cinchy horse you may want to try this one out!Looks very easy to clean and like it will last a long time! Professional's Choice has done it again! :)

Not the preferred style anymore.

I bought this cinch eight months ago and it has worked out very well. The neoprene underside is easy to cinch, clean, and hasn't rubbed or irritated my horse. It is sturdy and has kept its size and shape so far. Do note, the measurement length is buckle to buckle. So my 32 inch cinch is just at 35 inches edge to edge, which includes the body of the girth beyond the buckles. A 30 will be about 33, etc. Because of this, I'm ordering another at 28 inch to accommodate my horse's need for 30 inches of cinch. Prompt shipping and fair price.

I purchased this girth for my horse over 5 years ago and still ride with it to this very day. Always been a great and easy to use piece. Never had a complaint from me or my horse. Stays clean really well and the times it needs washing it is a breeze!It is very true to size so be sure to measure your horse's needs before buying it. The velcro backing is very sturdy and the buckles have remained shiny over the years with no dulling.Great girth!

I love Pro Choice SMx neoprene cinches the best! They're the only ones I've used in 20 years. No horses I've ridden have had any allergic reactions to them. Easy to clean. Grips nicely. Can even grip well when the horse blew up when cinching and is in full exercise.I recommend getting the 26", 30" and 34" sizes any time you find a good price on them ($40 new is great like here). Then you'll have a western girth that fits just about all adult-carrying horses. Rinse it off regularly and you'll have a cinch that'll last many years with minimal maintenance required and no burs/foxtails will stick to the horse side. Though they can stick to the outside, so just keep it off the ground!
