FTCE General Knowledge Test Prep 2025-2026: Complete Review + 360 Questions and Detailed Answer Explanations for the Florida Teacher Certification Exam (3 Full-Length Exams)

I did the Math portion of this test first and passed it on the first try. Be sure to do all 3 practice test before going for the actual test, as I noticed each Math practice test had different topics.I did the ELS, Essay, and Reading portions another day (a month later) and noticed the Reading passages on the actual test were lengthier than the practice tests in this book. I recommend when taking the actual test, count how many questions there are for each passage (and leave the passage(s) with the most questions to do last so you'll be sure to finish).

Planning for and prepping for a test such as that covered by this book can be stressful. The proper study guide can do much to help you prepare for success. Unlike other guides, this offers more questions and support than others. Not only do you get the opportunity to study and take practice tests, but see thorough, detailed responses for each response to questions. It is well written and designed and should give any serious test taker the basic knowledge and understanding of what to expect before taking the exam.

HUGE help for passing the FTCE!

I’m glad I got the book for reference, but don’t rely on it as your only study guide. Make sure to do your own research and use official practice materials provided by Pearson or your testing organization. I was getting significantly different scores on the official FTCE practice tests than the ones in this book. There were plenty of questions on the practice tests that I did not agree with the answer the book had in the answer keys, mostly because they were subjective and there are multiple ways to use grammar correctly (for the English Language Skills section). For example, there is no such thing as an "advisory sentence" in English linguistics, we call this either an imperative or a command sentence, which the answer key for the practice test marked inaccurately. (The phrase "advisory sentence" usually refers to legal terminology, not English grammar/linguistics.) The practice test questions seem to be written by students who formerly took the test, but not by formal Pearson professionals who understand the exact standards being assessed or the development of the test content. There were sections that they seemed to accidentally omit information, such as Discussing Homonyms and Homophones on page 65, and I found various typographical errors throughout. I would recommend this book "with a grain of salt" that not all of the information is fully accurate, but I would also recommend the authors carefully revise before publishing the next edition to feature references and citations of exact Pearson standards and content rather than summarizing the general gist and making assumptions of what the test questions could be like.

It has practice quizzes in the back and through out the book that helped me understand the material. I am excited to see how it helps me pass my exam.

Great book to help getting ready for exams with the practice quizzes in the back and through out the book really helped me to actually learn an helped to make sure I understood everything. Thanks to this book I'm sure I'll do great for all my exams

Tbis book was full of information but was easy to undertstand all at the sane time! I would reccomend to any who needs to study!
