The price was right and it did work on my Garmin GPS. I had misplaced my old one and needed to update my GPS.

Works in a car with a lot of manipulations 3.5 stars
OK they are power cables. However if you are using it like me in the car you have to work at it. I have the Nuvi 2555 and I have a 4 USB port plugged into the car power port so I can charge my phone too. Well when I plugged the Garmin into the cable it went right into the computer mode like it was charging off a computer and goes right to sleep. By turning on and off the garmin I finally got it to go to the maps. I used it the whole day to see if it was charging or just going off the battery. I'm happy to say that it was charging. So it will work in the car just turn it on and off or try unplugging it to get to the maps once I got it to the maps I did not shut it off the whole day because of all the hassle to get it to maps. I give this 3.5 (I rounded up because it does work) stars because of the hassle but once you get it going it works!

THESE ARE NOT POWER ONLY CABLES.
The cables I received are NOT Garmin type power cables. These are data cables. These cables DO NOT charge the device and let you use it while driving but put the GPS in a state of thinking it is connected to a computer. I did not try to use either of these cables to transfer data. I do not need data compatible cables since I have many of them already. If you are expecting these cables to be power cables for use in a car, shop elsewhere.
