i use this sauce for a lot of mexican dishes i make. perfect taste, there is nothing to sub for this very delicious unique taste

I'm from San Diego, and we used this brand for Mexican cooking; but when I got married and moved to the East, I could not find good Mexican food like the kind I grew up with. I pay a premium for this stuff. Once I open a can, I'll freeze whatever is left over. When I first moved east, you couldn't find authentic Mexican food or the right ingredients for cooking authentic Mexican food. No cilantro, or fresh corn tortillas (just "shells" - yuck) People thought "Tex-Mex" was authentic Mexican food (but it's not West-Coast Mexican food.) Las Palmas is a taste of home without flying 5 hours cross country.

Love the product but it was expensive.

I use this product to cook....

I use Las Palmas for it flavor warmth and thickness. It is the product that my grandma used in different recipes. I grew up in California my daughter and grandchildren live in Florida my daughter was having trouble getting Las Palmas products. We were very happy to find it available on Amazon.

My daughter asked me for my recipie for posole. I told her that I cheated and used this sauce. She lives in Michigan where it is not sold. Thanks to Amazon Marketplace, I can send it to her anytime.

Outrageous Price for small cans !! Very disappointed!!!!
