It was then inlaid with hand constructed polymer clay canework in checks, spirals, leaves, stars and flowers. All the colorful designs are made of clay, and not painted on. After curing, the panel was given three coats of resin to create a very deep, glass-like surface. It was inset on the case lid with strong adhesive.
