Saved my feet
If you have plantar fasciitis, you know what foot pain is. I started using shoe inserts and cushions to try to help with the pain. When I finally figured out what was wrong with my feet, I realized it was time to start treating them better. I did my research and settled on the Spenco Rx Orthotic Arch Supports. I have purchased both the full length and the 3/4 length and have been extremely satisfied with both styles. This pair was for my nephew who has developed the same foot condition.PROS: 1) The bottom of the insert is hard which surprised me at first. All the other shoe inserts I had tried had been cushiony, so this was a big change, but it was exactly what my feet needed, and I just did not know it. I was one of those people who was using 2 or 3 inserts to create a layer to stop the pain. 2) The arch support was perfect for me. I did not have to "adjust" my feet to wearing these. I did not have to boil them to conform them to my feet, so I cannot give an opinion on that process. I noticed relief from my foot pain very quickly just as they were. 3) These are much, much more affordable that orthopedic shoes. I can take these inserts out of one pair of shoes and put them into another. Orthopedic shoes are not cheap, nor have they traditionally been stylish. The styles have gotten better, but they are still a bit pricey. 4) Mine have held up extremely well. It may be because I have purchased several pair so I did not have to swap one pair of inserts between shoes every day (I have a LOT of shoes), but I have never had a pair break or feel unsupportive or worn out and some of them I have had for a long time now.CONS: These are a bit wide if you need to use them in women's dress shoes. I do not have narrow feet by any stretch of the imagination, but I had to trim as much as I could off the soft part of the sides to fit these into my dress shoes, and they were still wide enough that they would not fit in some of them. They work great in tennis shoes and sneakers. My boots were hit or miss depending on how wide the boot was. Spenco does make a hard insert for dress shoes, but the support is not nearly the same in my opinion. I bought one pair of the thinner ones for dress shoes to try them and did not bother to buy another pair. For my feet, they were not supportive enough.CONCLUSION: I think these are absolutely worth the money. My fourteen year old nephew has been wearing this pair for a little while now and is feeling relief from his foot pain. When I told him that I had ordered these for him, he rolled his eyes and griped a little bit, but he appreciates them now. He has now purchased a different brand on his own and is supposed to let me know how they work. I suspect he will be asking for another pair of these soon. Hope this review helps.

Plantar fasciitis. Doctor proposed to look for bone spurs with xray.
Difficulty walking on my left foot. As an exercise pointing my toes downward was helpful but no fix.The insole made the difference. After one day getting up in the morning with no pain standing on bare feet is a treat. Not a perfect fit, but close. We'll see in a few months.

Less back pain
They feel weird at first but after a few days couldn't feel them but I was walking better and noticed my lower back hurt less. Now that it's been a while I can definitely say I sometimes forget I did have back pain. They're great for my flat feet and really supportive. I'm buying more so I don't have to keep switching my one pair into other shoes all the time. Great product. My podiatrist recommended them and definitely worth it.
